I seriously respect you. Bionicle was always one of the most important things to me for as long as I can remember. I wish all of the old sets were always available instead of only seeing new LEGO sets all the time. I also would love to see the combiners, rahi, and dark hunters all officially released.

One of the things I always wanted the most was to play all of the cut content from Bionicle the Game 2003, as a kid I was very disappointed that such a huge amount of the area to traverse and so many of the things that could be done were cut out. I love the trailers, I used to watch them obsessively thinking, "How do I unlock these segments?" I ran a cross some pretty crazy stuff in the process of experimenting with the game, like the area that can be glided to the left in Lewa Nuva's lower swamp area, a glitch that let's you walk under the poison floor in the same section and explore what it would have been like when the game still let you walk on the lower area, and the best, I glitched Kopaka off his shield so that I could explore areas you normally never see on foot. I just wish it could have been what it was originally planned to be.

Couple years ago I saw one of the artists/animators from Treasure Planet, Prince of Egypt, and other works at Comic Con, and at the end of his panel he was handing out copies of sample pieces! I got one of Jim Hawkins from a bunch of angles. It's nice to see that sort of stuff for BIONICLE, too!

This is unrelated to Bionicle, but I recently found out that you created the MOC that inspired Lego Time Cruisers, and, as a massive fan of Time Cruisers and its nature I wanted to thank you for being responsible of that event. You left a big mark in The LEGO Group with this and especially Bionicle, both showing the colorful diversity of the brand as a building experience of many kinds.

I am very excited to see this video released. I hope this hints towards something coming for Bionicle g3 or something. Saw the new Tahu and Takua set in bricks, I hope if g3 is back then it is made from the original parts or new pieces fitting the old designs. Would be a shame to see Bionicle's robotic pieces lost to bricks.

This is so cool. Seeing work and dedication over the years even before Bionicle even became what it is is just inspiring. Dear Mr Faber, thank you so much for sharing this with us, and for helping to bring Bionicle to life! As a lifelong fan this is so exciting to see (my first set was Onua Nuva and I've been hooked ever since). I'm a filmmaker now with my own little production company, and I constantly reference Bionicle both for its worldbuilding, story, marketing strategies, the whole lot! Above all, I have been so inspired by the personal story I've heard, of how a health challenge led to the idea for tiny heroes in canisters to set off and fight disease... Isn't it wonderful how stories play such a powerful part in our real lives. Apologies for such a rambling comment haha, just wanted to say how much I appreciate this video and everything else you've brought us!

seeing how it started and what it became over time is so interesting to me. I remember my curiosity first being peaked when the voodoo heads video came out. After that just thinking how much could have been and the different ways things could have evolved kept my imagination burning. Thank you for taking the time to show all this off and can't wait to see more in the future.

THIS IS SO COOL! I love to see this stuff! I really loved when you showed the book with the shapes of nature. I love analyzing the details of Bionicle, and I loved how the aesthetic of the series was so unique in how it blended ideas of nature and technology and mysticism. Its great to get this look at the original creative side of the series, what was going on underneath the surface (since cool stuff under the surface was always such an important part of the series 😉)

Wow I'm so happy I stumbled on this, bionicle was a foundation of my childhood. Some of my first memories ever are getting all 6 rakshi on christmas that year. Thank you for creating it.

Fantastic video. It's cool, when I first found your content about Bionicle I wasn't sure where I wanted to go with life, but knew it would be something artistic. Now I've done 4 years of design school and worked on a movie (not in the art department unfortunately) and I still find myself coming back to your work for inspiration and reference in composition and pencil rendering/sketching. Thank you for making my childhood and helping steer my adulthood. (PS. I'd love if you could show off any sketches of the Barraki? if you have/did any, they were sets that came out right as my love of the ocean hit its peak and they are still my favourite wave. Along with the ocean being one of my favourite places.)

This is all amazing material Chris!! Thank you so much for sharing! If legality allows it, please consider digitizing these pages in hi-res some day to save them for posterity - they belong in a museum! ^^ Also - and maybe it's still way to early for this - one day, when you no longer can/want to keep it around, a lot of money could be raised for charitable causes if you auctioned this stuff off to fans. I bet some people would pay hundreds of Euros for even a single one of these sketches, if not more!
