Totally agree with you on power levels. People saying that 500-600 is "slow" are dumb and i literally could not care less if someone else is faster in a straight. Yeah, we joke around amd give each other shit but theres always someone bigger and badder, who gives af😂😂 another thing many these people likely never drove either and have zero clue about the extreme drivability loss thats in a lot of these 1000hp plus cars. Theyre basically one trick ponys at that point. Im all about what the chassis wants. A well-balanced chassis /suspension/brakes/power/ reliability and i love drag racing but the twistys are definitely much more fun to me. On off throttle in the high rpm ranges screaming, ringing her out, left right up down fighting the road. Thats where its at for me. Being at around the 430whp mark and very much used to it now id say a good power level here is likely in the 520-580whp range then when you go to the drags give her a 150 shot 🤙 Personally im not a big turbo fan. I like instantaneous power and crisp throttle response but thats in relation to my sole experience with turbo 4 bangers.

Did you say you had boost pressure going to to the top of the wastegate? If so it will max that turbo out on boost no matter what spring you have in there. If you go to the bottom port with turbo pressure you will make 7-10 lbs boost with a 10 lbs spring. Then take that pressure away and you should make 15-20 lbs boost with a 10 lbs spring.

He makes the comment about having 500-600 hp car and my @strongspeedworks tuned ls1 gto makes 300ish and I have an absolute blast beating it like a rented mule. But I do wish I had 100-150 more hp for the track

Oh most definitely. I tell people all the time, just have fun with it. 300-600whp is definitely fun in a 3000-4000lb car.

Trying to confirm something you are mentioning: You are runing E65 and you are tuning WOT for an AFR of 11.5? I believe E65 has a Stoich of 11, so WOT on E65 should be tuned to about 8.60 AFR? or am I misunderstanding this?

There's kinda a debate on this. Most widebands read in lambda and convert it to AFR. So if it's at stoich in lambda it will display on the Guage stoich in AFR. So it doesn't matter what stoich is in afr, since it's converted by the wide band. Once again that's debatable and I've never seen any real info on it. I will say I've ran e85 in my camaro since 2009 and always tuned it by afr on my aem wideband and plugs read perfect.
