That doc race manifold will be a lot better now that you have single bank o2. No more eating o2 sensors like candy. You should install the Nexsys oil pressure sensor kit eventually. On a side note - that HKS exhaust is beautiful

Done so many expensive mods and left the most important ones which are piston/rod, ring gap. Reason for old one loss of compression is the Ringland I'm 100% sure. They go as low as 22 Especially at 31psi.

Boy that comment ya made about as ya get older loud stuff gets annoying I can completely relate too. I used to love a system with thumpin woofers in my ride along with some Flowmasters on my v8 Silverado but now a days I find myself giving kids at red-light's the side eye when they pull up with their music blarring 💁‍♂️🤣 I considered an exhaust on my n54 but just settled for the stock setup with some cool tips coming out the back 🎯 Looking forward to the next video on this car!

Hopefully you have better experience than me. I used motion raceworks pushlock lines tried different ways to route em etc etc and they blew off like 5 times. Also my paradigm oil cap just decided to leak the other day granted it was a freezing cold day so maybe seal just wasn’t up for the task

Yeah I think it was just some 07 and 06 build years that didn't have it. My car is a 2008 model year, non m-sport and it does have the factory oil cooler.

I have a slight vacuum leak coming from my valve cover but when I asked my local shop that specializes in BMW’s they told me to stay away from the billit valve covers and just use the OEM plastic one because the billit ones are “prone to fail”. This is for an f10 535i btw, but do you agree should I just use another OEM plastic one or buy a billit one of of FCP euro

Regarding Rods bearings on N54… don’t they need various thicknesses from factory ? And how does this affect tolerances if the car needs various sizes of bearings but the aftermarket kit has all same size bearings?

After market bearings come in various sizes. We chose the standard ones from experience.

Also….can you get a mini on the channel? Owned by bmw half the parts of not more are bmw. Barely can’t content on KZbin and a great fun drivers car even though I know people will laugh at this i don’t care. A built mini is nasty! I walk much more “powerful” cars simply because power to weight ratio. Just with bolt ons. Not saying minis are fast but they are definitely slept on. If possible get an r56 Cooper s or jcw if not the newer f series with the b48engine.
