The movie had a large following who really resonated with the character and the message they took from the film, so saying "____ is my Joker" is equating the person's connection to what ___ is to the fans who were so connected to the Joker film. The character is also infamous for having fans who are "cringe" because they try to emulate some of the philosophies of the character, so a character/franchise with so much stength over a person/fanbase can also be gleaned from a person saying "___ is my Joker". Hope this makes a lil sense. TL;DR : it's like saying smth was your fixation or obsession that changed you as a person

So weird that the libel suit was able to forwards and that they were able to argue that it could have been anyone else who had access to Rebecca's insta so how dare she be personally outed.
