The music heard in the Season 1 episode "The Fever" is mostly stock clips of jazz written by Rene Garriguenc. These were very, very effective for the scenes where Franklin Gibbs, played by Everett Sloane, is chased by the one-armed bandit. Garriguenc was one of a handful of French composers whose music can be heard on TZ. The others included Rene Challan, Jacques Lasry, Marius Constant (who wrote two different cues of music that comprised the TZ theme). In the 1950s and 60s, European composers wrote music that was either bought by or written expressly for CBS's stock music library. Jerry Goldsmith and Bernard Herrmann were two of the American composers who wrote individual clips for the library. This music by Garriguenc/Goldsmith was indeed reissued on the 40th Anniversary TZ Soundtracks CDs in 1999 but was extracted onto MP (MP3) by a gentleman some years ago for possible use as a phone ringtone. That file comprises this video.
