Isn't it fascinating how Legolas, after years of battling shadows in Mirkwood, steps into the wider world just as darkness gathers again? Do you think his experiences in the Woodland Realm truly prepared him for the monumental quest ahead, or did his real journey only begin after leaving Mirkwood's borders? 🌲🏹 Share your thoughts! 🎥 For more amazing videos, check out this playlist: kzbin.info/www/bejne/rIuai4GjatOlpM0

@@MorganStoryman Both, I think. Must have been interesting for him to meet Gloin, whom he probably took prisoner in Mirkwood many year's ago, again at Elrond's Council.

Isn't it interesting how Sauron's decisions keep backfiring on him? He sent the orcs to "rescue" Gollum, thinking that Gollum's freedom would help him (Sauron) discover where the One was located, as Gollum -- a past ring bearer -- would inevitably be attracted to its presence. Without Gollum's guidance, however, Frodo and Sam would never have made it into Mordor; and even if they had the ring would never have been destroyed without him. It was only because he bit off Frodo's finger and -- having reclaimed the ring -- was transported into a state of ecstasy and delirium, which led to him failing to realize the precariousness of his position, thus toppling unawares into the pit of lava.

The mithril ringmail shirt Bilbo gets from Thorin in Erebor was probably ordered and made for Legolas, "an elven prince".

Hmmm - never though of this but makes absolutely sense! Thank you

I noticed Legolas in the Hobbit movies 2 and 3 wore a mithril shirt
@upperaustriaenglish349412 сағат бұрын
Oh, cool. I am sure that mithril shirt was a bit bigger than the one Bilbo got. But taken that Legolas was probably slender and Hobbits tend to be a bit fat round the waist, dunno. Maybe he got it from a different dwarven place, as Erebor was taken by the dragon and thus the Bilbo-shirt could not be delivered anymore. Must have been in the mountain for ... how long? Anybody know how long Smaug was King under the mountain?
@upperaustriaenglish3494Сағат бұрын
Smaug was King under the mountain for about 170 years. But maybe Legolas had a younger/smaller brother...? It's just that there weren't so many princes/elven Kingdoms round Erebor any more in that age. And elves even though they live forever, didnt get so many children, I have noticed.

what about his love for Tauriel and him fighting at the battle of the five armies or did Peter Jackson lie to me?
@upperaustriaenglish3494Күн бұрын
Sorry, but Tauriel was only an invention by the makers of the film. Though there might have been a character like this. They maybe wanted a female hero and a tragic romance to spicen up the film. Legolas might have fought in the Battle of the Five Armies, but it's also likely he looked after Mirkwood in his father's absence.
