@@Kazzylxl it is on the passive tree as well as exarch glove implicit, influenced mod on gloves and the ancestral call support gem also gives additional strikes. It's basically the amount of targets your strike skill will independently target per hit

I think that you are wrong on the totem thing, a lot of ppl were going two totems since with additional strike you hit with the melee and proj portion at the same time. Even with the latest snapshot on poe ninja when you chose Lightning Strike you can see that Ancestral Protector is 78% and Warchief 38% in use with this skill. We still get more dmg with current changes and LS was good enough before with some investment so its still a win but not that crazy as you are telling. We still don't know if we can get return proj on Claw, that would be crazy. Im still thinking about starting LS for group ssf i already played LS in 4 different leagues and it was always a pain early but a god later on. I was mostly a Champion though, Warden looks crazy dmg wise but im afraid of defences.

My point was not usually taking totem nodes, melee builds would take the "totem effects linger for 4 seconds after death" a lot of the totem dps on LS in t17 was just straight up pob warrior because they instantly died. Now it's real DPS.

@@Fubgun Yeah got your point, still Warden looks great but im afraid of its lack of real defence, maybe it gonna be good with things like Progenesis and so but earlier i don't see it being a comfortable mapper.

If wands didn't get buffed so much I would be playing lightning strike.(I like the wand playstyle better) But considering nightblade and elusive is still as good as ever it seems amazing

LS is definitely going to be strong with gear, just like before, but its gonna feel kinda dog to level with and get rolling. Personally I would play smite thru the campaign and even early maps, much easier skill to start out with. But LS should feel pretty solid with mid gear and scale thru the roof as you progress, same as before. Frost blades looks to be very very good this league as well. The hatred nerf hurts but it should still feel great to play.

Lacerate glad maybe? Big bleed pops and doesn’t get tickled down. Only really takes damage from slams.

Another buff to lightning strike is that recombinators are back so getting those nice triple elemental damage claws should be easier to get to.

Yes because now you make hits of "0" of lightning , need other sources that grant to you that "flat damage" in this case he show a VERY EXPENSIVE WEAPON XD ... but for a example is ok, and the new skill gem grant more efficiency of this attack.

It's relevant but not really because of the massive dmg the skill recieved, it's just more important to stack flat. But overall it's a massive dps increase.

I try to revive LS every league, last league I put so much currency into it and it just wasn't it. The 3.19 LS Godpion days are over, and this "buff" isn't going to set it straight either. They took out all the flat damage so what you just said is even more true than it was previous patches :(

​@@skyler1469 I know how to play LS but the pinnacle dmg is just cringe. You need the best gear possible to kill ubers comfortably and that's what I do every league. Dont expect big dps without big investment even with the buffs. LS will be one of the meta skills this league - Warden/Champ both looking great. I will probably start it and hate it :)

How do you craft that claw?

fractured t1 or t2 ele, def essence until third t3 or t2. prefix cannot be changed > reforge speed. Craft crit chance. If recombs are still really strong then a triple t1 claw will be easily obtainable as well.

just less DPS then LS and going to be about equal clear to that of lightning strike of arcing. Personally not a fan because if you're farming t17s you really want boss dmg, which frost blades still lacks (compared to other melee skills).

I think for clear Reave will be a monster, because with Vaal Reave and a bit of AoE you have fullscreen+a bit of offscreen clear. I'll be testing out my Perforate and Reave builds on Standard, maybe my LS char too. No one ever mentions the stealth Hatred nerf haha.

fair warning, glittering scarabs are too rare, so counting inflation, 10d is the lowest you will see glittering in league

@@Fubgun they do change drop rate for items, they can do that for scarabs too, also we lost quant so they will be more rare atleast early, with groups and streamers hyping them out people will buy, less scarabs on the market, price hikes up

It benefits from warchief, but not as much. If oyu check poeninja, 78% uses ancestral protector but only 39% has ancestral warchief. This is because LS damage is split up between melee and proj component.

@@7om173 Ye, but most people(me included) can't stand the playstyle, the constant flicking around makes them dizzy pretty fast. Flicker will always have it's place but it will always be nieche because of the way that skill works, as you said it's not for everybody.

As someone who played LS last league in t17s your totems were useless. Tbh it was just pob warrior numbers and not super useful during actual play. I think that was more the point he was trying to make. LS is still going to play very similar to last league, kind of rough early but an absolute monster once you get some gear
