Ironic interesting connections now today! Disney owns the television distributor rights of the BBCs Doctor Who franchise. BBC Studios also produced The Two Ronnies and the Star Wars film franchise is now part owned by Disney!

Don't remember this at all. I notice all the names of the referenced characters have been changed. Lucas was quite keen to protect his properties, after all. The bizarre thing is that those appear to be proper Dalek eyestalks.

Actually, the names were most likely changed for comedy effect. RC-TAR-C uses Ronnie Corbett's initials but it also means "arsy-tarsy", an old British slang word for when someone is ass-about-face (an idiot) I've heard all the comedy parody names for Star wars RU 1 2 (Are you one, too? referring to someones suspect orientation) Chew-baccy Daft Vader Daft Invader Hans Knees Enbompsadaisy!

I would have loved to o see this live but I was too young and born in the wrong country. I was 6 in 1980 so I guess I wasn't too young but still in the wrong country.

I liked Porridge but Ronnie Corbett I find generally unfunny and even when he it's it seems strained definitely not a natural comic. Each to their own but I do wonder how some people end up on TV as a comic prime example being Hugh Dennis
