The Type 6 MAX Train Car Preview Event and Car 102 on a Flatbed

This was quite a day, and I met a ton of awesome people here! Car 605 was sitting at SE Park Ave last Sunday, which drew a HUGE crowd of people wanting to check it out. Way more people were here than I was expecting. They gave out free shirts, posters, paper type 6 models, and even donuts and coffee. Safe to say, you'll be seeing a video soon with me wearing the new type 6 shirt.
Another much less widely known thing was happening that day. Car 102 had been on a flatbed for that entire week and that Sunday was the last day of it in Portland. It got sent to a local recycling center Monday morning (on Oct 16). R.I.P. car 102 1986-2023. This is the first car sent off to be scrapped. It's quite sad, but I'm glad I got to see it one final time. Some more exciting things though also happened. Car 215 is back! After 4 years it finally returned from its mid-life overhaul. Although, it takes Siemens so long it's probably not "mid-life" anymore, but that's a different story.
