As a 51 year old video game veteran and collector i know what you mean when you say its abit over whelming at these markets.A strategy ive developed over the years is to plan ahead,write down what your after,abit like a shopping list,yes allow yourself say one random game that gives you the (WOW)effect but try and stick to a budget for what you have to spend and of course try to get the games you want at best/lowest price.Great video keep them coming.
@DanTheGamesMan Жыл бұрын
That’s a really good way of doing it to be honest. I love a good list also haha. The game that gave me the wow factor this time was Castlevania for the megadrive, if that had been complete I would of snapped it up!

Cool vid, looks like you had an awesome day. I went to the Gaming Market in Norwich a couple of years ago, it's a bit of a shame they don't seem to go there anymore. That Capcom Generations for the PS1 is fantastic value, well worth picking up. Maximum Carnage is an OK side scroller. Fortunately I picked it up a few years ago, it was still a pricey one, but not as bad as it is now. I had to get it for the red cart. 😀 Some really nice pick ups there. Pilotwings looks in awesome condition. It's one I still need myself. Doorway to Dorkness is also well worth a trip to Doncaster, an absolutely stunning game shop with incredible stock.
@DanTheGamesMan Жыл бұрын
Thanks glad you enjoyed it! I think they did the same games market in Norwich up until a few year ago then it got cancelled and never returned which is a real shame. Next time I see it I’ll definitely grab capcom generations. I think I’m gonna try maximum carnage out on my ever drive as I’m intrigued and love a good comic book game. Very happy with my copy of Pilotwings been after a decent boxed copy for a while and glad I waited for this one. Another trip to Doncaster is for sure on the cards this year as I’ve head so much about doorway to dorkness but doing that to in the same day I feel we would of rushed it and not given it the time it deserved.

Some superb pick ups there mate, I'd love to go to Doncaster gaming market but its a wee bit too far for me. London Gaming Market is just around the corner though. I had a Lynx a few years back but it wasn't boxed and I only had Batman Returns for it. The Mario Golf game @13:28 was the Japanese N64 version btw
@DanTheGamesMan Жыл бұрын
Ah thanks I wasn’t sure what that game was. It’s quite a long trip but worth the time. I’m hoping to maybe make it to London gaming market also but I’ll have to see l. I have a few Lynx games but always on the look out for more and hoping to get a console this year either boxed or loose!

Great video mate. If you ever see cracked double jewel case games, just pop in a charity shop, or a market stall and buy a cheap double cd and swap the case. Just make sure you match the amount of game discs, with the amount of cd discs.. I.e.. Two games discs get a two cd set, 4 game discs, then 4 Cd case. ..otherwise you won't have anywhere to put the discs, or worse it won't close properly.

Nice video, we go to Birmingham Game Market. Defo worth picking up GameBoy WWF games. I picked up King Of The Ring off my friend in about 2014 boxed complete and in great condition for £5. He didn’t care that it was a rare GB game.
@DanTheGamesMan Жыл бұрын
How does Birmingham game market compare? They’re both on the list as I’m aiming for the complete wrestling game back library but I think by that point I was to tired to think wether it was a good deal or not lol
@mark266 Жыл бұрын
@@DanTheGamesMan Birmingham games market is a lot smaller, but I would recommend early bird ticket. We queued up for 30 mins to get it. It got very cramped up and hot by 12. There’s a retro shop in Digbeth that had very rare and excellent condition GB games. The last wrestling gam I purchased was 2K14. The old school games are always the best. As you’re a huge SW fan if you’re not already defo worth going to Celebration at Excel in London.
@DanTheGamesMan Жыл бұрын
@@mark266 I was very tempted by the Star Wars celebration did the tickets not already sell out? I always try and get the early bird tickets as I normally need to travel back afterwards. @@DanTheGamesMan they did release more tickets a few weeks ago for various days. In London 2016 there was so much goodness. You’d love it for videos. There’s a fair few charity shops in Brum and independent retro shops. I spotted a lot of old PC games for £1 each last time.
