Just discovered your channel last week and so glad I did. You’ve helped me take a much more pragmatic approach to my game and I’m getting a lot more comfortable rolling with the punches. Even if my scores haven’t seen the effect yet my mental game is so much better.

Hey Adam, great video as always. I do have to disagree with you on the idea of consistency. I don't think golfers mean that they always need to shoot within a narrower window. Hell, tour pros will have a big window too, anywhere between 63 on their best days, and high 70s on their worst days. I think consistency more or less means that we have more of a bell curve instead of a flatter distribution over our scores (where most amateurs are likely). So instead of a distribution of scores being 76, 78, 80, 82, 84, 86, 88, 90... they want something closer to 76, 80, 82, 83, 83, 84, 86, 90. They'll still have those good and bad days, but their averages days will actually be closer to an average. Keep up the good work, hmu if you're ever in Houston!

Is there any explainer video on what exactly constitutes a green light vs red light drive and so on? Is it to do with how well you hit the drive, or how well you set up the next shot?
@lilz4758

Thanks for the video learning alot from you vid, I'm not a scracth golfer but you're right sometimes you will shoot your lowest then the next you play will shoot more than ten on your normal score. But golf is fun. by the way what app you use to edit your video to display the pars/strokes/hole number, is it a different program you use to put the pin flag on your video. I record most of my games but have not tried posting them in video, still trying to put the videos together and also filming while playing is very difficult unless yoou have a designated camera man.

As a 22.4 handicap I am playing about 10 shots above where I need to be. But for me consistency isn’t about my scores but about a more consistent golf swing. @@NotAScratchGolfer Not really. I have several recurring ‘issues’ with my swing and my putting but I strongly suspect that my biggest problem is my tempo. Going to focus in on tempo in practice and on the course over the coming weeks. I know that you are self-critical of your swing and style but I have noted that you have a great tempo to your swing and I sense that this, together with your skill with the flat stick, is your strength.

I'm a new subscriber. I really enjoy your outstanding video footage (I would like to get a laser tracker camera!) and thoughtful, reflective narrative of your game and strategy. I can't imagine all the work that goes in to producing such polished videos, which really reward the viewer. In viewing your swing, I am struck by how well you rotate around the ball, giving yourself a huge slot into which to drop the club on the downswing. You're doing yourself quite a favor with that rotation, and it's something I'm trying to emulate. Already, it is paying off. I am hitting the ball about 10-15 yards longer with just a bit more deliberate and well-rooted rotation! In listening to your narrative, I am reminded of the mental ups-and-downs of my own rounds. I'm a speedgolfer and play most of my 18 hole rounds in between 50-60 minutes. I go through many of the same mental gymnastics, but your slower pace has given me the opportunity to reflect more on my mental game. You are doing the community a great service with your channel. Keep up the excellent work!

"I'm Bob Parsons. When you buy my PXG clubs you immediately gain 30 yards on your drives, 10 years on your life, and the instant adoration of anyone passing by. Our clubs will bring peace to the middle east, stop world hunger, and give free affliction t-shirts and punisher decals to under privileged stock brokers." But seriously, way to grind out a good score!

Those new clubs are sure forgiving on the scorecard Adam! They must have saved you six or more strokes based on how poorly you hit the ball.
