For me , this is a simple single player racing game. I don't see serious competition in it. If you look at it this way then you might enjoy it. I think it is worthy of its affordable price.

Personally this is just a game to play to build cars with friends and cruise and not to compete at all and for the price its still definitely worth it

Yeah fr all i do is run the ring or drift with groups online and pretty much everyone is chill. Personally I quite enjoy the level of grind after the latest economy update as like in forza I get a large amount of money fast and then I have no reason to race at all so I just build cars and cruise which does get boring on forza for me. I don't have that same feeling with carx especially since people have to make their own liveries instead of downloading them it makes it fun for me to spend time making them and checking out other people's

Trigger, you make very valid points, but hear me out... Time Attacks is all I do, and by playing these, I have not had to farm any SC in weeks... You do need to grind at the beginning in order to build three or four cars, but once these are them, you can do pretty much any T/A with them, you just need to adjust the tunes, no need to spend SC. With the T/A you're easily making 500-800 SC a week, and most T/A ready cars do not require more than 350-400

I gotta disagree about the economy. This game is one of the very few racing games that don't get dull after your first couple weeks. Games with super inflated economy, like Forza Horizon, shower you with new cars all the time, yet I rarely find myself wanting to play it more than 20 minutes. Because why would I bother? Everyone else already has the "cool new car" from the weekly playlist. CarX on the other hand makes you appreciate every single car, not only thanks to all the available customization to make it your own, but also because it take commitment to obtain something truly unique. You probably need to grind away at elite races for a couple hours if you wanna build a nice car. I think that's the perfect balance of commitment to reward for a racing game. It doesn't get tedious to where you feel like you'll never achieve your goals, but it also doesn't overload your dopamine receptors with constant flow of new things

in this game everyone cheats the money, why would any legit player want to grind for a car 4 days when everyone is pulling all the stuff from the ass and there is no competition at all, you make a car and all you can do is look at it. Waste of money

CarX street or any CarX game can’t survive without mods it is what the community is built off of and should be apart of the game with a modable branch (where you can’t compete in time trials, pvp races, etc.) and mods without a modable branch should be strictly visual but if the competitive aspect of a CarX game comes at the cost of having amazing visual and customization mods then honestly who cares cause the game needs mods to remain entertaining… and always has needed mods… At this point all of the time trials are just getting replayed through and it’s rather easy to get T100 no one is sweating anymore. CarX has always been about meets and drifting not time trials, comp, etc. and they aren’t doing enough to change that. CarX pc and console have always had crossplay together with and without mods. It’s how CarX is supposed to be.

yeah, that's how CarX are. It's the community that makes the game fun! But in CarX Street, I wish more people do grip racing in the touge mountains. Most players just drift all the time in the same area. Not hating on that but we have CarX Drift for a reason. Mix up drifting and grip racing so you won't get bored.

I don't care about time attacks. They have issues. I don't need the cars or money. I got plenty of all that. All I care about is racing against other players live on the most technical roads. Mainly I focus on driving the mountains. I just want NFS Carbon style canyon races in the mountains against other players.

This is what I've been doing with other players in the past months! When a player is left behind we wait up for him then continue the touge. Wish more players would join in but they like to drift than grip race. I mean, we have carx drift for that. Have some variation.

@@rina4992 A lot of players probably came over from the drifting games so a large portion of the player base leans more towards drifting. Every now and again I feel like drifting then after about 5 to 10 minutes of drifting, I get too bored of driving so slow.

@@schmojo33 People are forgetting why they are playing games. It's... to have fun. Credit problem? Just mod it, the devs don't care unless you use the mod to cheat in the leaderboards. Just hop on an online session and drive with others. No need to overcomplicate stuff.

I’m glad the company sees the mods as a form of creativity. I think they understand that the amount of people just wanting to enjoy the game (with mods) far outweighs the amount of people using mods maliciously. A game, especially a racing/drifting game is never really 100% (people always want more) complete and looking at the map it almost feels like a playground for us to be “creative.” There will always be cheaters and where they goofed up is having leaderboards that can be easily manipulated while endorsing that the game is moddable. Both can’t coexist so having the ability to turn crossplay off when it comes to consoles would be a decent contingency against cheaters.

You cannot cheat street coins, not even day one, you only could get max lvl and get all coins from lvl ups, but that was a one time thing and it got removed and 70% of expenses for fully building a car is street coins, so the only real issue is infinite nos, still is a thing

I think you missed the main point of that post. The post is a response to modders getting their (visual) mods broken after every small update and them complaining directly to the devs team. Some of the most known mods are: Porsche 918 Porsche 911 gt3 Custom sets of rims Custom billboard ads Custom bodykits for certain cars None of these mods affected cars performance and were being broken with every small update. It would be nice if they made a separate statement about currency mods and time attacks (they probably won't ), or even nicer if they take the mobile approach where currency mod users get removed/banned when they try to get a place in the leaderboards

Just bought the game for my steam deck and turned on gyro to use it as wheel. The game is perfect to me. Also all they need to do to end cheating make a script to compare the money you earned vs the money you have and log it. And if the statistics dont match just force the game into offline only.

CarX Drift had absolutely no issues with it, mods are just files that you install and then launch the game, different than a program or a script you'd run alongside the game in order to cheat. Also "Modding money"? That's a cheat not a mod.

Devs have been releasing weekly updates and are actually listening to players unlike the other big companies releasing games for double the price. i left car X street i reset my game 2 times because i ran out of things to do and that speed coin is really lame and ruins this game in my eyes. i was hoping for a super fun and engaging community like when playing Car X drift. but the community in this game sucks and the game its self sucks and feels like a rip off that haze Zero respect for player time spent Vs reward. and after i left a Rewiew explaining how bad the economy is and how i have reset progress in order to buy new cars i cant get because money ran out fast, and hammered about getting rid of there PREMIUM CURRANCY you cant buy and how lazy the company is doing a 1 for 1 of the Mobile game and leaving in broken body kits broken cars and broken wheels and other problems. well i waited for a update logged in to see how drift changed tires changed i couldn't the Devs RESET MY GAME BACK TO THE START. they did not like me pointing out the time spent to earn one car and how much time was spent to afford to mod ONE car. after 100 hours I'm done i played over 2000 hours on Car X drift because its super fun. this game sucks and i have a bad feeling they will charge for liveries or pull some other BS maybe in a few years ill come back but for me im out. im upset because i really like Car X street the map the cars the tunning, i did not even mind the AI voice but you cant REPEAT races or crews, WTF how do you F-up something every racing game lets you do how you you make Forza look like competent game devs. and looking at the drop in player count on steam a lot of people feel like i do. get rid of speed coins make crews repayable because there is so many races i enjoyed and was bummed i could only do once and it was done.

I don't know if we are playing the same game or not. I'm in asia server and most players chill on C4 lobbies doing drifts or grip racing in the touge. Hope you can get the same fun as we do. This game is no different than CarX drift if what you do is just drift. C4 lobbies are perfect, in C6, there are bunch of kids who would ram into you and they don't know how to drive lol

Community screwed the game up, people don't want to race, this game's community is just brain ded, 90% of people cheating the money instead of asking for a fun method to earn the money, because they suck, they just want to make the cars fast to...
