I feel that V himself wanted to attend the after party. How he carried himself during event, he has done his homework well. For some, the after party maybe was too much but honestly it is just another after party in the entertainment and fashion industry. I am happy that he attended the party. Bad or good, this experience is vaiuable for him as as a grown up man.

I think the same, he only took a photos with masculine model in a festa party a little weird but normal in Europe. he was all the time with his manager and body guards. Finally is only a experience he now is in his country with his family.

Even if it's bad for him and might ruin his reputation as 'good boy', it doesn't make him a bad person. Part of growing up is making mistakes and experience will make you wiser. Im sure he is still trying to find his own identity as an individual and artist outside of BTS.

The photos of V at the after party are only shocking to those that feel BTS is a group of little boys. They are grown men...it's no wonder they felt they needed time away from the group music to spread their wings as individuals. I'm from the western culture, so my view is going to be different from someone who isn't, but they've been in the Idol system for so long that I'm sure they were feeling suffocated by it. V did nothing bad or untoward. He carried himself with style and dignity. He doesn't need protection other than the bodyguards that were already there with him. He wasn't actually stripping on the stripper pole so everyone should just chill. It was ONE party and again...GROWN MAN!! I'm sure I'm gonna take hate for saying all that but....I'm also grown so I'll be ok. 😉

All that I see in this party was absolutely innocent. Taehyung only takes photos with models with aspect extreme but nothing bad. Taehyung never judge anyone by his aspect and for this I love him. But his successful makes jealous his enemies. Is sad that a beautiful memories in Paris became a stupid scandal without sense. I hope Tae will be strong and confident with himself 💜

He went to a fashion show and attended an after party with some of the models and guest...you act like he went down to the slums and hung out with the mafia. He did the polite and socially correct thing by attending the afterparty. And apparently he was non discrimitory and humble enough to take pictures with everyone from models to the DOG of Celenes head management. You are absolutely being ridiculous and totally judgemental.

When I saw the party videos, I thought it was a ritual because the scene seemed overly sexual, nudity, and erotic. I'm sure a lot of disgusting things went on at that party. A lot of Armys were worried about Tae, I don't understand people judging this. We have never seen members in such environments, we have not seen such people, the image they show us is much different, cleaner, more ethical, a life that should be taken as an example, but when suddenly such images and videos from the party environment came, everyone was shocked. I hope the members don't fall prey to vultures in the name of freedom There are so many people waiting to take down BTS.... The industry is really scary, my close friend is also an actor and has made a lot of sacrifices. But right now he is depressed because he seems to have lost his way. Sometimes he talks about his experiences, like a horror movie.. I wonder what BTS is going through behind the camera. Thanks for video.

People need to chill regarding the after party photos, Tae had his security, staff and translator with him and if he was just an average man in a club he even had his friend with him, the "pure child" image imposed on kpop idols proved time and time again to do more damage than just letting them being themselves.... @@corinnekae1736 It's kinda funny because Lisa is a girl and this type of judgment usually is placed more on women than men, and although I don't know much about her I think she has a clean image too, but still, people don't seem so scandalized because she went to an after-party and did the pole dancing. V is a grown man and the fans know he likes to socialize. If he has never been to after-parties (that we are aware of) it's probably not a decision made by him personally. Now he is freer to do what he actually wants.

I agree 💯% that after parties should be avoided especially by BTS. So many artist for decades have been compromised by LA Hollyweirdos & Fashionistas at these parties for manipulative, predatory & blackmailing purposes. The label has done a great job protecting them. However Taehyung did not look happy in many of the photos initially posted. In after party pics he seem very drunk & vulnerable.

I really agree with what you said about being careful of afterparties, we all know how the environment is in clubs and parties specially the really star studded ones....they really go hard on the partying aspects and all. Our idols definitely are entitled and are old enough to know how to handle themselves in these situations, and I do want them to experience these crazy wild parties because it is fun and gives you unique experiences....BUT! the problem is they are celebrities with very clean and wholesome images, people are waiting to find any spec of scandal so that they can bring them down, i'm just scared that they would be taken advantage of and will be coaxed to do something that they won't be proud of eventually. This pole dancing thingy was already shocking to many, though he looked that he was just enjoying....still, it didn't sit right with a lot of fans. And yes the people they were taking pictures with really looked sus, are they really models? I don't wanna sound like I don't want any of the boys to enjoy their freedom, I'm just genuinely concerned that they might end up hanging out with the wrong crowd.

I was thinking that in this toxic music/entertainment industry, there maybe people (rivals) out there paying other people to ruin a certain celebrity's image especially BTS are known to be wholesome, humble and good people. This is just my general thoughts. It was an eye-opener for Taehyung attending the CELINE Fashion Show and experiencing the after parties, etc. but he has to be mindful of those fake people trying to befriend him and riding on his popularity.

Even if you've been - inadvertently in a situation like the one Taehyung appears in while in Paris at the after party - I can assure you that not all vampire-types who look as ready and willing to pull out their long incisors for a nibble, can manage to do as much as those two men. Very unattractive!! However, Bogum is one of Tae's longest time friends from just after they debuted, and - perhaps - he might have been taking an occasional photo. Also, Tae is seldom very far from his staff, even ìn Seoul. I'm sure that they know when to be on Red Alert 🚨 AND when to relax. (Actually, I had wondered if the one guy had put something in Taehyung's drink, rather than thinking he was attracted to either man. Really. The difference between them and his own special cohort at home? It's too great to quantify. As a way-older fan & grandmother, which I became on the birth day of my daughter's one and only baby + her own BD in the same hours at 39. The problems are seldom what you CAN SEE, but WHAT YOU CAN'T. BSO, no worries if you are watching everything that's going on in front of everyone. Even at age 79 coming up at the end of November this year, 84 hours before Jin's 30th, I know that if Tae's darling grandmother were right there, she'd have NO PROBLEM to dismiss those gentlemen. She'd call Bogum to her side AND INSTRUCT him on taking Taehyung to the restroom to splash very cold water on his face. Then, he'd have to apply cold, wet paper towels (wrung out first) to the back of his neck. He'll waken immediately!! Those greedy-looking men were being rudely blatant about their desire, which is Really Bad Form at any important event with international guests. It is too easy to imagine Taehyung's staff support standing near by, just watching them like they are oblivious prey, so under-nourished and thin eought for a mild breeze to knock them over. The staff are impatient, thinking that all they will have are a couple stupid photos. Yawn . .. How soon can we leave? Soo many long flights recently. 🥱 😴 😳 🥱💤 Tae is - like the other members - very humble, yet I sure wouldn't count him out as being uninformed, or 100% ignorant of the world at large. There house staff taught them a lot over the years. I've observed from some things they've mentioned that they are aware in general of a variety of things,, yet without real time experience. I was less knowledgeable at 23 than they seemed after leaving high school. Ignorance is NOT bliss & as ignorance, it can place people in difficult situations. The challenge is always their lack of knowledge in real time trials, like being grossly insulted on an internationally->revered TV in a foreign country: America. Keep in mind the two different times that Ellen Degeneres asked the guys if they'd ever had sex ("hooked-up" in our American veracular. She NEVER mentioned "dating" ) with any ARMY members. Everyone of the members was stunned because of the complete & utter rudeness to them, to the people of their country, and to their cherished fans. Except, a Taehyung. Like always he had the right answer immediately and is never afraid to say or do what is right. Typical Capricorn! My first friend in home state was just the same in so many ways. Tae acted most like his "V" name: Vanguard, Vigilant, Virtuous, Victory, Valorous, Vehement, and Vitality, to name a few. He walks softly and carries a Very Loud Voice (when needed!!) 😃 😊 🧡 💙 💕 🧡

Part of the problem with this way of thinking is assuming they’re children that need protecting from the evils of the world. He is a *grown man* who can handle himself just fine. If some others make claims about the party that aren’t true, he can say so himself. By saying that they might end up hanging out with the wrong crowd, you infantilise them, as well as assume that they’ve been cooped up in their dorm for the past decade. Just because the public doesn’t find out about what they do on the daily doesn’t mean that they stay at home being good, quiet boys who’ve never partied or been around problematic situations. Those that were shocked by the stripper pole thing need to get a life and stop worrying about an adult having fun. He didn’t do anything that most people haven’t done at a party. So what? They don’t need to be protected like toddlers since they’re not that. Your comment might be coming from a good place but it ignores the fact that all 7 of them have a life experience we’re not privy to. Just ‘cause we haven’t seen it unfolding doesn’t mean it hasn’t happened. They don’t need chaperones, they’re old enough to know how to handle themselves and any potential backlash. For Heaven’s sake, they are part of the industry, they certainly know a lot more about what’s going on behind the scenes, at those parties, than most folks who only get a glimpse through random pictures here and there. They know how to protect themselves if needed. If they want to hang out with unsavoury types, so be it. It’s their life. They can’t be bossed around by people’s worries, as much as we love them, we are not their mothers and cannot, nor should not, dictate what they do. A sure way of making someone go off the wagon is overprotecting them and judging every move they make. They have to experience life for themselves, even things many won’t necessarily approve of. So I personally think something that attracted many young people to BTS was the fact that they never showed them going to any sleazy after parties and stuff. That’s stuff you see with other artists but not with BTS (at least that’s the image they showed us). There was never talk of partying, sleeping with groupies, etc I’m sorry but that’s refreshing to see in a group. It is difficult for people to differentiate a celebrity's public persona from his or her private persona, if the celebrity has pushed forth a very public public persona. The group has presented themselves as being pretty wholesome and that is refreshing. However, they are now grown men and like many child stars, they may find themselves pigeonholed into an image of themselves as boys that never grow up. We have seen evidence of that in the infantalizing of the members, like Jungkook (he's a baby bunny, he is BTS's baby, babyish sound bites, etc.) This man is 24 going on 25, he's nobody's baby, none of them are any more.

I have a different take than you. Avoidance only stunts growth. As entertainers, “bad influence” or “danger” will always find them. It is better to face it head-on and truly transient than to be wrapped in a bubble by avoiding situations. As a protective ARMY, I want them to stay away from any potential “danger” forever. There is the so-called “wholesome Image” to be kept as well. But V is 26, and one cannot be a “Disney teenage star” forever. I believe BTS has expressed that they are artists first and foremost. As an artist who can truly inspire, he needs various experiences (the good, the bad, the pure, the evil) to create masterpieces. Unlike the rappers with “underground” backgrounds. For the most part, the vocalists have always been protected. While all wrote wonderful lyrics, there are differences in the depth of those lyrics. Lastly, aren’t we just a little bit judgmental and prejudiced? Most of those are pictures taken with the models dressed a certain way for the show. Yes, they might really be predictors. However, we cannot judge those people from a photo. We don’t know what really happened either. V posted for pictures w/ fans before, just because they dressed and “posed” a certain way, then we are all up in arms? I still think that some ARMYs are too sensitive and feel entitled to speculate on everything the boys do. However, as long as we don’t go overboard, I understand that it is just a form of love.

To be honest, I didn't like the idea of Taehyung taking photos with every Tom, Dick and Harry so to speak. I think there is more 'protection' when he is with his BTS members as a group. If I am not wrong most parties of such nature can be pretty 'wild'. You can imagine the amount of booze being guzzled. Lord knows what else is being guzzled together with the booze. Just letting my imagination run wild here. You have made a good point regarding Jungkook's collaboration. I agree with you whole-heartedly, sir. Let's hope these BTS members apply a bit of caution in their future undertakings. It is better to be cautious than to rush headlong into something and get burnt good and proper.

Just seeing behinds of that party the more extreme part through some of these models stories it was very unsettling esp as an Asian, idk if that's how normally these things are in Europe but a lot of European friends on twt were saying it was normal for them so idk. Coming on to protecting them I do understand the worry and sense of protectiveness seeing these people(idk what they were smoking to look like that) but I don't think we can or should anyway take part in those decisions its their personal decisions. I do hope they look out for themselves as they are doing activities as 1 instead of 7 rn, Tae is known as a social butterfly and used to make a lot of friends but about 3-4 years ago he did talk about people taking advantage of his status so he definitely knows and hopefully can identify those people. It was his first time at a fashion show so maybe just went there for experience who knows tbh lol. I completely agree in regards to the after party's. I know it is not popular opinion and the guys are grown & actually quite smart. But that doesn't mean I forfeit concern especially when I actually know how a lot of these after parties get down! From first hand experience and one of my sisters was a sought after model some years back and the stories she shared would make you want to clean your ears out from what you just heard and then go pray. My sister gave her life to the Lord and eventually left the modeling industry. Back to Tae, I understand his wanting to attend but he would be wise to be wary of these kind of situations.

I have lived in Paris for 5 years, I know that world well because I worked for the luxury industry and even fashion week 2019. Indeed the people that you call "demonic" are either singers or models. People are more free to express themselves in Europe so its just fashion choices. That doesn't make them demonic... I understand where you are coming from since they should be careful in general but they were with their managers, they were together (Bo Gum, V and Lisa) and they weren't doing anything wrong. BTS was protected as a group since they had each other, had a great leader like RM and the rest of the older boys who watched over the younger ones, and a GREAT ARMY that loves them all. I hope V makes wise decisions. He is a great kid and has so much ahead of him. It seems in Korea, one wrong move and there goes everything they worked for. It seems he is trying to find his identity BUT, he already has one and needs to be confident. Hopefully the other older great entertainers like Rain, Psy, Park Seo Joon, Ma Dong-seok, etc. who mingled with American actors and entertainers will give him good advice. I agree stay away from people and parties. Don’t drink or get into the drug scene. It only takes one time or one wrong move. Also, whether they like it or not, they’ll each of their behavior will still affect BTS, their families and ARMY, etc.

In regards to V, they said they wanted to evolve and grow. Basically they are missing out on a lot of experiences. The down side to that is, part of growing up and finding yourself is making mistakes and learning from them. I’m sure the members of BTS will make some mistakes along the way, but I think they will be just fine. Sadly, you can’t protect them from everything. As a mother I understand the feeling of helplessness and having let go, but a butterfly would not be a beautiful butterfly if it stayed a caterpillar all of its life. The way I see it if in their contact such matter was not stipulated then most likely it isn’t a concern for HYBE. Majority of companies have their own risk management. The expectations of some people from Kpop idols to be ‘perfect or flawless’ individuals is what unnecessarily puts pressure on them. People’s double standard is what’s dangerous. As for Taehyung... This is the way I see it, the majority of us have all done things like this to some degree.. The difference here is he is in the limelight, his every actions almost it are monitored by sooooo many people. I'm honestly glad he is letting loose and having fun, they all need it. With them being in the group from such a young age until now, they haven't really been able to experience what its like to be "normal" have fun, make mistakes, grow (in there own way without worrying about others or the company).. I think this is a great step for them and seeing how happy he was makes me happy. I just hope that he continues to stay observant to his surroundings and not let these moments consume him to the point of not staying vigilant, yes he has his bodyguard's and they will do what they can to keep him safe... but they can't see everything. Taehyung doesn't strike me as the type of person to let others influence him if its not something he wasn't willing to do in the first place, so I'm not worried when it comes to that.

When they attended all Billboards Awards and AMAs, they didn't attend any after parties but rather stayed in their hotel room and live streamed for ARMY. The members have always been working very hard towards their music career since trainee days and were not really exposed to the real entertainment world. Their working lives have been mainly scheduled and organised by BIG HIT/HYBE management.

Although some ARMYs feel that attending after-parties are just part of the entertainment industry, and that BTS members should do what they want as grown men, I agree that BTS should be cautious. What some people are missing is that KPop idols are held to a different standard and there are certain expectations as to what proper behavior should be. Westerners are trying to infused their values in the way that they show tolerance of certain behavior but what they don’t understand is that Koreans (whether the general public, fans or the idols themselves) have different values than westerners do.

Honestly, I think Taehyung is so fed up and tired of being kept in a box and micromanaged by overzealous fans that he is going to rebel. They’re all tired of being treated like children and portraying themselves as rainbow and unicorn artists. BTS has done so well of staying under the radar that even the simplest thing causes controversy and they’re all to the point that they just want to LIVE. I think Kpop as a whole needs some serious overhaul done. The whole no dating and interacting with the opposite sex thing needs to not exist because that gives fans the illusion that they’re boyfriend material when the fact is they’ll probably never actually date a fan. They’re human beings and they need to freely be able to have relationships, romantically and friendly, in order to maintain good mental health. I understand wanting to protect them but they are grown men and are capable of making their own decisions. I trust their judgement and fans need to respect their decisions. They all have parents and managers that IF they do start showing signs of poor judgement, I’m sure will step in and redirect their position. Love and support them as ARMY should but stay in your place and let those who it actually affects use their voice to control whatever situation seems unhealthy.

those people are models from the show and i think the band who played the afterparty. there’s a certain aesthetic when it comes to runway which is different from editorials. so i think it’s kind of judgmental to base an opinion off of a picture alone. keep in mind if these people worked the show, they’ve probably been in constant motion for hours upon hours. these are situations that everyone in the business needs to navigate and adapt to. i was not the least bit surprised to see Taehyung make a beeline toward the fashion industry. I wouldn’t be surprised to see him veer into acting. And it’s an aggressive industry to be in. I think he handled himself well. The reasons BTS do NOT go to after parties at awards shows is for just these reasons. They know the reasons. Tae knew the reasons, and maybe because they are “off” doing their own things, maybe he thought he could just go. But, he’s a grown man, he knows cameras, he knows where they are at all times. Don’t blame the industry. Lee Min Ho has been to many Paris runway shows, and never did he get so much childish press. This was not just bad press for Tae, but for BTS. The fashion industry and BTS are in same industry - entertainment.

I am so glad someone finally said it, because a few of the people posing with TaeTae and Lisa at the after party really did look scary and demonic. Although I am a Christian, I do try to not to judge people and give the benefit of the doubt. However, I really got bad vibes from two of the models just by looking at a few photos that I went into straight prayer mode for Park Bo-gum, TaeTae and Lisa. The pole thing was so cute TaeTae and Lisa look like little kids having fun twirling on a pole which didn't seem like a big deal. They look like they were having innocent fun. It made me happy when BTS would just come and spend time with ARMY instead of going to after parties, but they are grown so what can we do, but pray for their safety and that they don't fall into temptations like getting intoxicated around strangers or being peer pressured into doing drugs and etc.

As a mother of a young Army-girl I wish Tae hadn't gone to that after party... even though I think it looked more like a staged performance, not looking so spontaneous, maybe some young armies take after them? The 'models' they were with looked depressed, thin, wasted. I don't mean to judge their appearance, but that's what it looks like. If that is fashion, then sorry! I'm old fashioned! I agree BTS should be careful. They have a brand, I would protect it. I'm the one paying for my 15-yr old army-daughter's merchandise, albums, online concert tickets, and I care about how she is influenced a lot. I can't decide for her who she follows/likes, but I decide what I support by paying for it. I understand every person needs to 'grow', but do you really do that by going to public parties? Adults know you don't have to do everything in public and I'm sure BTS has 'grown' a lot outside of the public eye. They must be experts on publicity. That's why I don't think they do anything in public without consciously thinking about it. Was this what the brand they represented ordered? I'm not buying it.

perhaps they weren't completely aware of everything that was going to happen at the afterparty, i mean BTS has never gone to any afterparties in the past, and Taehyung didn't post anything from the After party himself, it was only the other people there that were posting stuff. if they go to after parties in the future they will probably hold a much tighter leash on what will be posted from it online, or maybe it just wont happen again.

Ok subscribed after listening to your take on BTS Fiesta. Like your content and have been thinking on this same subject of how they will navigate going alone. As an older Army I know that the mistakes that I have made In my life have gotten me to where I am now. True there are way too many shady peeps who will look to use them to improve their “status “. We can only hope that they help each other thru this and don’t make any mistakes from which they cannot recover. I also agree that Charlie Puth used JK to promote his song but this is a colab that JK specifically said he wanted, let’s just hope he has gotten that out of his system and is ready to get to work on his own projects. The one thing that I am hoping is that they are able to keep control of their content. Warner music has some k pop artists that I have been following and they are making moves to get into that market. As Army we support with our money and time, I will always support BTS but may not buy products that I don’t think support them .

I am from the west I kind of understand trying to protect BTS , but they don't just belong to Korea anymore they are wonderful 💜 world ambassadors now 💜 , we the world love them too 💜 and will take care of them and support them ,BTS will never forget they are Korean they will make their families proud ,their friends proud their country proud , but that said , they are individuals with needs and aspirations , they want to enjoy their lives, don't take that away from them !!! Exclusive fandom in kpop are weird almost cult like. 3 people went there representing K industry.. 2 of them did pole dancing but strangely almost all of them talk abt only tae. Thank you once again for this deeply insightful take, and also for providing the comment space. I learn so much from the thoughtful comments here! I am young and so not as experienced of the world, but something inside me told me that things will get very complicated for all the BTS members once they come out from under the protective aegis of their group identity. Of course life is to be lived! But there are So so many exploitative forces when there is money to be made. Even the ghoulish models there with Taehyung are also young people being used by a grinding industry. And, yes, poor Jungkook with all of his talent just shining from him - I hate the thought of him just being profitable fruit for others to pick. I hope they will all grow and blossom as they wish, but it is a very cruel world and they gave so much to help us through it. I hope they receive some of that kindness in return.💜

In regards to V, they said they wanted to evolve and grow. Basically they are missing out on a lot of experiences. The down side to that is, part of growing up and finding yourself is making mistakes and learning from them. I’m sure the members of BTS will make some mistakes along the way, but I think they will be just fine. Sadly, you can’t protect them from everything. As a mother I understand the feeling of helplessness and having let go, but a butterfly would not be a beautiful butterfly if it stayed a caterpillar all of its life. I know true ARMYs will shake their head like parents watching their kids getting into mischief, but love them anyway! I know I will.

Really love this comment, As a mom and grandma I totally agree. Their whole young adult life has been working and being a part of the group. We now have to let them find out who they are and who they want to be going foward. We are right behind them encouraging and supporting!!

Beautifully said. At the end of the day they're just people like us who are allowed to mess up. Though I wouldn't even call this after party incident a "mess up". How many of us have gone to a party at least once, got shit-faced drunk and did some questionable things? I'd argue the majority of people go through that at least once in their life. After all these years of hard work and missing out on a lot of "normal" experiences, I bet Taehyung was just happy to have a good time as HIMSELF instead of BTS member V.
