"We shouldn't underestimate just how important this is."
As the Ukraine crisis deepens, Britain is increasing the number of battlegroups it leads in Estonia from one to two.
The Royal Tank Regiment are already in the Baltic State and are to be joined by the 1 Royal Welsh battlegroup.
The so-called 'Welsh Warriors' have been training at Sennelager in Germany.

How old do you think the regular Russian soldiers are? 17! And The British better worry about the clown they have as prime minister. One of the reasons Putin is acting paranoid is all these OTAN weapons stationed in ex-Russian satellites in violation of promises made to Russia in the 1990s. Putin is an emperor, but intelligent and wise in geopolitics. The West underestimated him.

@@yeshuaislord6880 he’s a coward because he’s sending young Russian conscripts as cannon fodder to test the Ukrainian defences. He’s a coward because he’s happy for children to get maimed or killed for his ego. If Russia was a better neighbour all the ex-soviet countries wouldnt want to be part of nato. He spreads lies about the Ukrainian being nazis and drug addicts and because he’s losing and he’s threatened the west with nuclear weapons. He’s a tyrant and the sooner he’s removed the soon Russian can return to the international community. Where are you from? His mistake is he underestimated how far the international community would sanction him. The Ruble is gonna be worth nothing and poor russians are gonna suffer for the man’s ego. All their saving will be worthless. Sad Plus, he’s gonna have a lot more nato troops on his board, the very thing he said he wanted to avoid. And the west has seen the Russian army in action now and they are poor.

Well that is hard question , with increasing numbers of Precision-guided munition that can be fire from a very long range as well as highly effective anti -tank infantrys capabilities and equipment such as Tow, Kornets, rpg, javelines and other systems , tanks can be very vulnerable especialy with the fact that they are generaly very big , very load , very slow and actualy be a dissadvantage for group , for example if you deploy a tank u need highly trained crew which takes time and money to make , the tank is also very expensive also needs to supplied with crazy amounts of fuel and ammo which needs to transported from the place of origin, tanks are expensive to maintain and operate , a 2mil tank can be knocked out by a guy wielding a Kornet system that cost 100k and uses 7k per misile shot, would it not be better to lets say have 2-3 IFVS or an extra platoon of soldiers instead of 1 tank. On the other hand it always nice to have a big tank with big gun on your side that demoralises the enemy . It all depends on the doctrine.

Ukraine is very much like the old Yugoslavia. A group of different ethnic people, with historical grievances that hate beach other. The only thing that kept them quiet and apparently "together" was fear of a tyrannical communist party state. They need to sort thing out among themselves first. The EU and to a lesser extent NATO have made things worse by backing the far right parties in Ukraine. Forget the current woke western definition of far right, where BoJo, Trump and British police are called a fascist. Ukrainian groups such as Svoboda and others, are true Nazi type nutters who worship Hitler and the SS. They make no secret of it but have you seen anything on the BBC. There is a militia force now officially integrated into the Ukrainian army called the Azov Battalion, just google it. They are an official section of the national army, with training from western allied nations. US, Canada and others. They adorn their uniforms with swastikas, SS badges and the like. Use the Nazi salute and preach antisemitism and anti-Russian. They are a holdover from WWII, frozen in time by the tyranny of the USSR. There is much more to this story to learn, before anyone can fully understand what is going on and why we should be very careful who we support. Putin is vile but so are some (NOTE some) of the Ukrainians.

Its just a sign of showing russia that they are not joking around when they say an invasion of Ukraine will have consequenses. Moving to many troops towards russia will give putin more amunition to falsely justify russias troops on the border of Ukraine. NATO have time and time again urged for diplomatic solutions becouse they dont want war so they are carefull.

That’s the kiddy!! Tanks are obsolete and not needed in future conflicts is what I think they said! Odd when most other country’s are upgrading, adding to and even making new mby’s. Maybe our political party’s aren’t telling us something? We are using the French ww2 strategy next time round?

@karolean8342
@karolean8342 2 жыл бұрын
@@Blitz_maniac It's really dangerous to run as opposition, journalists such as Anna Politkovskaya have paid the price with their lives by "propagating lies" about Putin. Navalny was poisoned then detained under the pretense he was a terrorist and trying to destabilize Russia. Russia is also known for controlling media outlets, you won't find a single mainstream Russian media criticizing Putin or his policies (but in the EU and the US, mainstream medias completely destroy their politician's each week which is kind of funny). The West has unbiased AND biased medias fighting each other which allows the good citizen to hear each position's arguments before choosing who to vote for... Russia only has state controlled medias who aren't allowed to lift a finger against Putin or his government. On paper, Russia has freedom of press but in the facts, the way the police and judges are working for the state means that freedom of press is quasi non existent.

The big mistake of chamberlain and daladier was, that they may have thought to stop hitler witzh negotiations and words. but a biting dog is not listening to words.. send as much material to ukraine and defend nato frontlines and for heavans sake stop to believe in fairytales. f.e germany has to build up the manpower and not just thinking only about profit. or in the end we will have to learn russian. slawa ukraine and god bless the men who are defending their country and the freedom of us all

that comparison is not really that well thought out. with the Nazis it was very clear that they aimed for escalation and they invaded several nations around them in short sucession. The russia-ukraine conflict on the other hand is simmering on low heat for 8 years now and this is just another temporary heat peak.
