Daniel clearly stated in Daniel9;26 that (even to the end there will be War; and Desolations are determined which is a state of Destruction, so if this is the fig tree generation, then this is the end, and the war must occur because God determined it to be so. Daniel also stated that in the last days of the rule of Satans offspring, after they have fulfilled their work of Darkness, then the Antichrist will be Revealed (Daniel 8;23-24) and he shall reign for 42 MONTHS.

I have a question about the feet of the statue. Iron and Clay that does not bond. What is that about,?

There are various schools of thought on this. Let's first look at the verse. (KJV)-And whereas thou sawest iron mixed with miry clay, they shall mingle themselves with the SEED of men: but they shall not cleave one to another, even as iron is not mixed with clay. (ESV)-As you saw the iron mixed with soft clay, so they will mix with one another in MARRIAGE, but they will not hold together, just as iron does not mix with clay. It seems to me to be some kind of sexual union whether spiritual or physical. Or joining together such as an AI with a human. Or the other thought is that is a union between Evil Angels (Watchers) and Humans as we saw in Gen. 6. But, another theory is that it could be the Watcher(IRON) angels and Man(Miry Clay) trying to become a world empire to form the 10 toes or also known as the 10 horns(10 horns-Dan 7:24, 7:7, 7:20, Rev 12:3, 13:1, 17:3, 17:7, 17:12, 17:16). It is also theorized that the Anti Christ would be part Satan and part Human similar to the movie "Rosemary's Baby". (Mat 24:37) The son of perdition (2 thes: 2:3) We just got to stop looking at the old idea that the 10 horns represented 10 nations of the fallen Roman Empire. It just doesn't make any sense. Rome was divided into 2 segments East (Byzantine Empire) and the West (the Holy Roman Empire). So, whoever holds to this belief doesn't know History. They would have to point out that there would be 5 kingdoms from the Western Section and 5 from the Eastern.

You'll see a lot of 'private interpretation' here because we have little internal evidence within scripture itself. Thankfully, Daniel provides direct answers for the Gold and Silver and later it's safe enough to add 'Greek' because, historically, we know who defeated the Persians and we see that too with the Ram and the Rough Goat. That gets us as far as the mid-section of Brass/Bronze. So far, we know we're dealing with Kingdoms/Monarchies/Autocracies. Rome is not in the picture yet and almost everyone ignores the historical (And scriptural) fact that after the death of Alexander the only kingdoms that matter are the kings of the north and south in all of that business in Daniel 11. At the time of the end, (Dan 11:40) the kings of the north and south are still at it and good old Rome in any form is yet to be seen. You can't find a Ceasar or Pope in Daniel 11 using a scanning electron microscope and a bunch of I Ching sticks before Michael stands up in 12:1 and no one in the New Testament seems to be too interested in anything iron or clay or interpreting the image in the dream any further. From Daniel 11:5 to 11:45 it's south, north, south, north, south, north.... So until we get the interpretation from a guy with fiery eyes and a big, golden belt we're all just speculating. So here's some speculation... Those feet of iron and clay? They're worthless. You can't make a pot out of the clay because it's mingled with iron and you can't make a sword out of the iron because it's contaminated with clay. From the most valuable metal of gold we've descended to something of no value and God is not going to mess about refining either, it's all as dust blown to the winds when He gets done.

Hi Mark , I am just starting to tune in to your talks on Bible Prophecy and have listened regarding the Ukraine. One of the things I heard recently was a reason for Russian aggression there. It is that the U.S., apparently some time in the late nineties, promised that it would not expand NATO further east in Europe towards Russia . I don't know the details but could you address that ? Did Ukraine wanting to join the EU relate to that ? Any input regarding this please?

Even if that is true and I don’t know if it is, it’s not up to the US to make a promise like that. I lived in eastern Ukraine for 18 months around 14 years ago. My experience was that everyone I knew there wanted to be a part of the West, not Russia. If Ukraine people wanted and want vehemently to be a part of Nato and the EU, then their wishes should be paramount, not what the US or Russia want.
