I like this, we got Frizzle Sizzle in at work which I had to have! Took it home and within a week it looked like death and we had customers returning theirs with the same problem. I stuck with mine and eventually found in needed much more water than I first thought and more light than I could give it in the room it was in. It's thriving now on a south facing windowsill getting a soaking once a week... I can now pass that knowledge on. Win win!

That is awesome Emma, such a great thing when we learn from our own experiences, I find it is always that knowledge that sticks around the longest. 💚🌿. You also got me missing my frizzle sizzle now 😍

Great detail and clearly explained! Nothing I didn't already know, but you can always discover something new so well worth the watch even for experienced plant parents. They are so good at throwing at you crazy new ways to get sick that you never dreamed of 😁 I absolutely agree about the virus/bacteria causes; it practically never is... until it is. But check everything else first :) I really wish you luck with the channel, definitely gone from my top 10 to top 3 this last year, you deserve the subs 🥰

Hey Joanne, that is so kind thank you so so much 💚 🌿 🙏 yeah it always suprises me that the initial go to answer most people look into is viruses or bacteria, as you say rarely the case 😬😅

What a brilliant video! I used to believe in the teacher Google, but that didn´t work :-) Plants themselves and their observation are the best teachers, I believe. I learnt so much from them and so much I still don´t know and still struggle with... E.g. I can´t get rid of thrips on my Ep. Manjula despite min. 1 year of regular various chemical treatments (no thrips ever visible, only the markings) - I now know more of chemicals than I ever wished to know :-D ; or why is there corkiness on the peperomia argyreia´s leaves and why the hell do they keep cracking (I tried everything I could think of, and I´m even running an year-long experiment of growing one in pon and one in soil :-D (neither of it helped, although it seems to grow faster in pon). I sometimes feel like a mad scientist, trying what works and what doesn´t, and that´s fun in some geeky way 😀 Regardless of the time spent, the joy of discovery what the problem was and seeing the plant coming back from the brink of death after I lost all hope, is simply priceless :-) 🌿💚

I really enjoy all of your videos, but this one especially I hope finds a wider audience. This is invaluable information for those newer to this awesome hobby. So many people turn to FB and the automatic advice is: repot the hugely struggling plant and fertilize. And yes, you should have a much larger following...!

Hey Dave 👋 ohhh that is so kind of you to say, that was my thoughts when filming that hopefully it might reach some of the people who are newer to the hobby and take away some of the uncertainty. 🙏💚🌿

Thank you Memo found that really interesting. Never sure if I’m overwatering and still one of those parents that hover over the plants especially my baby ones, now have them all in clear pots so can see what’s going on and look for the condensation. You and others when you see a pest it’s, “oh dear a mealy or spider mite on here going to deal with that in a bit”. Me dreading the day it’s going to happen just know I’m going to run around like a headless chicken not being able to think what has to be done! I understand it’s one of those things if you have plants and you are used to it. I’m definitely going to have to up my meds to cope 😂🌱💚

Hey Kathy, years later I am still that over caring plant parent 😬😅😅😅 clear pots for sure are a game changer. Also the pest blasé attitude comes with time trust me, I used to get sleepless nights (for real) in the beginning when I got pests, but over the years realised as long as I generally stay on top of things, it never gets out of control too much and the plants just keep on keeping on. Give yourself time, you will get there I promise 😊💚🌿

New subscriber and really appreciative of the content you're putting out. I have a question about proping a plant that isn't doing very well. I have seen props started in water, pon and soil. Can I start my props in the chunky aroid soil mix (essentially a premade orchid mix) that I use for the majority of my plants which are Pothos, Philos, and Hoyas?

Hey Carmen awww lovely to have you along for the journey 😊 💚 🌿 🙏 yeah of course that is how most big growers have been doing it for years, straight into soil mixes, the only real draw back is you can't easily see the roots to get reassured if it is rooting, but it can definately be done 😊
