What strings are on that example? Extra light with a plain third? That would make its playability more electric-like, but you could fit those strings to any acoustic. I don't think anyone has yet come up with an adjustable, bolt on acoustic neck that sounds as good as a proper acoustic. That said, the unamplified sound wasn't bad, but as usual the piezo sound is poor. I'm old enough to remember Ibanez launching acoustics with electric necks in the 1980s, and I suspect this Martin will prove just as popular...

I tried one after playing some similar priced guitars. This one played well but sounded dead.
