Well done lads it looked amazing. You stay there and I’m going to gods own country WALES 👌on Wednesday to start back on the Cambrian way from Llandovery 👍. You reminded me when I was hiking in the Pyrenees and we had a big pass to go over and at a hostel they said don’t go today as you need to set out at 6am and there was a lot of snow too. The hostel man said we would be ok and if we made it to the next hostel it would make us real mountain men😂 Well it was Ivey and steep we had no crampons. We turned back on one route to find a less steep one and we made it over the rocky crest pass straddling one leg each side and slid most of the way down on our bums. When we got to the refuge the warden said we were the first that season due to the snow. I never forget that one a highlight of my hiking life. ATB Mark and Simon. TFS 🍻🍻

@@Twin_Peaks_Outdoors I spent a week in Switzerland in and around Walenstadt back in 2009 and it was great. I flew into Zurich which has a very steep climb when the flight is leaving the airport. I travelled by car going through long tunnels. Atb Taff 🤠👊👊

Lush! The mountains, the river, the beer... :-) Surprised there weren't many places to pitch up. How come it's so hard to find wild camping spots there?

Hi Lloyd thanks for watching, I think the reason there weren’t that many camp spots on that stretch is because there are a lot of steep banks and there are a lot of houses and farm there. That camp spot was pretty good and there were lots further on but it was getting late and we had done a lot of miles by then. Part 2 is out tomorrow where the views get better 👍

Cheers Martin, the tent was great we did around 36 miles in around 4 days and we did get to do the section we weren’t going to do which you will see in part 3, we got to a hut not far from the Richetli pass and the owner said it was passable so we did it 😁👌👍

I was also on the Via Alpina in June 2023 and passed the Richetlipass. 50 - 100cm snowfield! Not funny. Unfortunately I had no info because of that. I made it and enjoyed the Via Alpina. Tough with a tent but fantastic. Thanks for your fantastic films.
