Only back from doing this journey, although I think we took the train in Switzerland and bused it to St Moritz from the highest part of the pass.!!! Love to go back and do the full journey in the winter.

Very beautiful. I think the same, it is worth the money. And, just for the information, there are panoramic trains Bernina Express and the regular trains which are cheaper and the views are just great.

I love this route, it's beautiful to watch in both directions. I have seen this route on another channel, however this video has a more natural sound of the train, horn and chimes of the crossings. I am from Canada and if I ever have the chance to visit Switzerland, I would love to ride this train. I am not sure how accurate your elevation reading is on the screen, it seems to be changing awfully quickly even on a flat area.

@jwatchorn hi, thank you for your feedback. The speed and elevation data are GPS based and at the moment I was producing that video I just started to use those data and the settings of the program I use was not optimal. Thats why the quick changes. I always write in the description that the speed and other displayed data are not very accurate. But they still give us an idea of the actual speed. And the line really is amazing. I enjoyed travelling on that line very much.

Les trains sont beaux, le paysage est beau, la Suisse est le paradis du train parce que les suisses aiment le train, parce que les grèves sont très rares chez SBB-CFF-FFS et les autres compagnies du pays... En France, si les trains roulaient au milieu de la route, l'indiscipline des automobilistes provoquerait des catastrophes. J'adore le sifflet de ce train, il me rappelle celui des locos à vapeur de mon jeune temps.

Nice video. But on the presentation miniature, the material shown is not an ABe 8/12 but a pilot car for the trains between Pontresina and Scuol-Tarasp. The ABe 8/12 "Allegra" are numbered from 3501 to 3515.😉

@長元坊 I have never been to Japan, so I cant tell, but I think that Slovene landscape is similar too. But Swiss Alps are higher and greater and Swiss managed to build the lines over high passes and everything seems so organised.

Thank you for your comment. The speed and the altitude measures are based on the GPS data and sometimes can be inaccurate.

It seems like the GPS is compensating, because it depends on how accurate it is at pointing, you know that disclaimer about precision, for example: within 5m or 10, or 50. This point of stop is about 1390m, but the beginning of the stop is 10m lower. As soon as you are leaving the stop, the elevation is already above 1400m. So, this may be a possible explanation, or just a part of it.

I was really disappointed in this video because it had the potential to be fantastic. Instead, the videographer kept panning the camera away from the track, trying to give his viewers too much of the experience, which invariably ruins it for me.
