Its funny you mentioned how the series used to present a concept as its introduction and drop it near the halfway point ( you said it somewhere around freak city). As a kid one of the takeaways i often left an episode with was "how do they fit so much stuff into 11 minutes!". Its definitely part of the lol random style of AT but it's something that I think they grew to make up for with connected arcs across seasons, two parters, and the eventual miniseries. Great video!

(Leaving another comment as I'm watching through) I love that you also refer to BMO with they/them. They are so insanely genderfluid and it really frustrates me that the crew has settled on he/him more recently. Also I did my own ranking for fun a few years back and our S1 top 3 are the exact same, just with #1 and #2 switched!

I know BMO was pretty strictly he/him in the early seasons and then they did a lot more she/her towards the end of the show, but yea BMO being genderfluid always gets glossed over so that’s definitely something I wanted to stress in this one. Also, great minds think alike🤷‍♀️

1. Thank you! Definitely wanted to go for a bubblegum-inspired look but I'm gonna turn up the cosplay a lot more with the next video in this series fs. 2. And thank you again! This is definitely my obsession so it was hard not to talk even more throughout the video, I'm scared of how long the next entry into this series will be. 3. The board was definitely a bit of a hassle at points but I loved the idea so much and I thought it would be super cute, absolutely bringing it back for the rest of the series. 4. Honestly, “To Cut A Woman’s hair isn’t even that bad, just for me it's one that I think ranks a bit lower for the fact that I find the tree witch annoying and everyone in it fails to learn like anything of value. Still enjoyable tho, and I'd rewatch it in a heartbeat. 5. Yes! Me too, I can't wait to get into the later seasons, especially those miniseries because Adventure Time basically becomes a whole new show once it starts to be extremely serialized and I think it makes for some of the best moments of the show Overall, thank you so much! Your kind words mean the world and I'm really happy to hear you felt seen by my coverage, my main goal with this series is definitely to do exactly that. I always thought of the divide between "classic" and "new" Adventure Time happening somewhere in season 4 (if I had to pick an episode either In Your Footsteps or I Remember You), but I definitely do remember them more heavily promoting the show later into season 3

To be fully honest with you, I don’t know when 4-6 will be coming, this video just didn’t preform that well and that’s not sustainable for how long I worked on it, I do hope to make more Adventure Time stuff soon, maybe some more well-written video essays about the show, but if this video blows up one day, I would definitely consider circling back to this series!

as is the case with many episodes throughout the series that aired as two 11 minute halves of a 30 minute block, i definitely think His Hero was and/or IS supposed to be the season 1 finale, and that the mix-up is on the management/distributors’ ends. could be wrong but there are clear instances in later seasons where this is absolutely the case so i wouldn’t be surprised
