I always enjoy your style and rationale. Well done, as usual! Count me as another looking forward to hearing more about your X1C. SWMBO says no more toys (tools...) this year. I've recently added a Shaper Origin to my collection and have been enjoying creating (SWMBO calls it playing!🤣😂 ) with it.

Great job on sticking with the LG C2 versus the current OLED monitors. The subpixel layout is better, the brightness is way better. I bought and returned the Alienware AW3225QF and LG 32GS95UE because their brightness is piss poor, especially during the day.

Well then. I have the exact layout with a lounge chair in the corner next to my desk and just added the exact same chair to my cart last week, but then got worried the ottoman was going to be really annoying standing in the middle. But this looks great and I'm going to get it.
@joshfenn2 ай бұрын
The ottoman definitely takes up a fair amount of space, but it’s well worth it. Enjoy the new setup when it arrives!
@CanSF2 ай бұрын
@@joshfenn I ended up rearranging the office to make proper space for the Ottoman. The chair arrived Saturday and looks absolutely stunning and very well made. Still getting used to the lack of neck/head support though. Quite different from other lounge chairs.

Which camera is better for content creation, the Sony A7 IV or the Sony EZ-V1?
@joshfennАй бұрын
Tough call, probably depends on your needs/goals. Haven’t tried the zv-e1 but it seems that the a7iv has the edge for photos but the e1 might win if you’re mainly wanting a vlogging camera since it’s a bit cheaper and smaller

Using a TV as a monitor - how do you find that especially when connected to your mac
@joshfenn2 ай бұрын
It’s worked really well for me! The OLED has been great for video editing and games/movies, the 42” size has been awesome too.
@andrewwk0070072 ай бұрын
I’m also using the lg c2 with my desk set up and I’m trying to find a good monitor arm at the moment. What mount are you using in your setup?
@joshfenn2 ай бұрын
I’ve got the ergotron LX. Had it from my previous 32” monitor and it just barely works. Technically over the size limit but just under the weight limit - the bigger HX would probably be ideal but since this one worked I didn’t bother replacing it

Do you know if Bambu has an unclogging guide? I got the P1S and it got clogged when I used some PETG. I’ve tried twice (over a couple of hours each time) and so far no luck. Maybe I’m just too worried about burning my fingers and that if I disassemble too much into introduce error tolerance when I reassemble. But I really want to get back into printing - it was so fun and now I’m just feeling a bit burnt out on trying to fix it and disappointed. I thought I waited to buy a 3D printer until we hit the “just works” phase but not quite I guess
@joshfennАй бұрын
I’ve never had any clogs so I haven’t had to deal with it personally, but I’m pretty confident they’d have something on their site to walk through or explain. Ton of great info for any subject I’ve looked up, customer service was pretty quick to get back to me too. The bambulab subreddit would be a good place to check as well, best of luck with the fix and hope you can get back to printing soon!

I’m a little annoyed as I kind of thought of getting into 3D printing at a very basic hobbyist level but gave away the idea. Now I’m inspired to have a bit of a rethink! I gotta stop picking up hobby’s from KZbin 😂
@joshfenn2 ай бұрын
There’s room for everyone, no need to rethink! Been having a blast with it. Totally understand what you mean though, I’ve picked up way too many hobbies over the years on KZbin

I prefer to have the top of the monitor lower, closer to my eyeline, but I do more spreadsheets than FPSs.
@joshfenn2 ай бұрын
That usually more my preference too but kind of impossible with such a large monitor. I kind of treat it like multiple screens when working though so it works out
