Thank you for this. There was one other video I found on how to use AnvilToolKit but your video was much easier to understand. Plus, I like the explanation to what makes mods conflict or override each other. When I first started modding games I did not realize this and would often wonder why somethings don't work.

Just a windows runtime code to run certain older programs. You need 5.0.13 for this tool.

You don't need to do a backup as Anviltool already does one, it automatically create a backup file in the same place the .Exe of your game is.

The program is buggy. I had to try it 7 times for it to work. I thought i was stupid, ive read the damn description 5 times. Then i came to this video and it still didn't work. I was about to give up. Gave it a last shot and somehow it worked. It's not like i did something different, it just replacing some files, in a file then repack it. Also it's not like the file name to sooo much alike that i would misclick.

Well it is simple as spreading butter , When they tell you that specific folder isn't selected just look at the top right there will be an editing symbol( pencil thingy) click on that and select your game from where you run it , If you can't find it just right click the application on your home screen and click on "open file location" from there you'll know the exact location where to go after that just select the "game" ans you're all set

So i accidentally unpacked a forge file for unity twice before it finished the first time, ( double clicked on accident) and now all the. .data files after number 60 (10k total files) are listed as "Cell000...". I tried to repack and unpack but now anvil thinks its "already unpacked the forge file" and "skips" unpacking. How in the world do I get this tool to properly unpack the forge file. I have reinstalled the game fresh, and deleted it from anvil. When I brought it back after reinstalling the game it was still skipping the unpack and giving me "cell000" .data files. Pleaseeeee help!!!

I tried using the Storm Fortress mod for AC Rogue, i drag and drop the datapc.forge and the datapc_extra_chr.forge into the directory folder which is supposed to change the morrigan's appearance into the storm fortress.....but nothing happens. it is the only mod i am using

I wanna have 2 mods, but one mod (A)requires is a whole “DataPC” forge file, while the other mod (B) has 2 folders full of data files for 2 forge files, “DataPC” being one of them. Say mod (A) replaces the original DataPC forge file, would it still work if I put mod (B)‘s data files inside mod (A)’s DataPC forge file?

I don't know wtf you're saying, but if you deleted something from the game files you can just verify the files through steam or just reinstall the game. If it's from the mod just redownload the mod. Make a back up next time.

anvil tool kit works without problems. problem with "No Cape Covering" mod for AC2 - my original DataPC.forge file of 82,6 mb does NOT increase in size after I click Repack (I downloaded the .data file, but if I download the ready version of DataPC.forge from the author of the mod - the game starts and instantly freezes to death)

I'm trying to mod the ghost recon ground branch, but I can't find where to get Uplay from. All that pops up is Ubisoft Connect, and it's not the same as Uplay. I downloaded the game through Steam, so what do I link the start-up to. I can't find the .exe for the game. I see GRB and GRB_vulkan above the Ubisoft Connect installer. I don't know if that is the .exe or not.

Connect replaced UPlay a few years ago. i.e. Ubisoft made that name change for its service. I assume you mean "Breakpoint", not "Ground Branch", as Ubisoft has nothing to do with the latter.
