Got Sifu right after finishing Sekiro. Good to know I've been a fool trying to parry everything. Good info here.
@raindrain12 күн бұрын
Parrying is NOT as bad an idea as he makes it sound, and is in fact absolutely neccessary if you're trying for the Wude ending (sparing all bosses), because that needs you to break their structure bar twice without killing them. Dodging is safer most of the time (unless you consistently fail mixups) but true mastery is being able to use both and knowing which one is best in any given situation.
@ncrbuilds4970 Жыл бұрын
This was exactly what I needed. Crazy good guide and info! Thanks so much. I realized I was getting frustrated because I was absolutely playing it all wrong, trying to parry everything, and then panic dodging around a room when that didn't work with a group of them. It made me not like the game much. I am going to play again with all this in mind. Best tip btw was the away and forward for sweep kick. I always wondered why "up/down" only seemed to work sometimes. I thought I was just not doing the timing correctly.

Personally my GOTY for 2022 The combat is one of a kind, so dynamic, every play-through is a unique experience. The slow feeling of getting good is immensely satisfying. But goddamn master is a humbling experience after you already got Disciple mode by the balls Also shoutout to UTM for making these videos. I know your first video guide on the club was instrumental on me actually learning the fundamental mechanics because back then we didn’t even have the preliminary tutorial for the basics, and even when they brought it into the intro it would’nt have done much. But a video like this would do a lot to reign in the new players and actually manage to beat Sean. Biggest mistake Sloclap made was to lose mass player retention by not explaining how to deal with Sean in the beginning

Picked this game up recently and I've been loving the experience. It's so good! I had a really rough time at The Club Boss which gave me a hard time but once I figured how be patient & dodge his bo staff attacks for counters the rest of the game wasn't as rough honestly. An amazing game indeed.

Ok, I have one insight on the skills for those who wish to get perma unlocks before finishing the game. You can grind a lvl (let's say squats) upto the last shrine, put your exp into a skill (let's say I put 2500 exp into weapon catch 5 times) to permanently unlock it. The best part is even if you PARTIALY UNLOCK a chonky skill like environmental mastery upto lvl 3 and then restart the hideout, guess what? You WILL HAVE IT PARTIALLY UNLOCKED in the subsequent run, you can't use it until you take the skill again in the shrines or death screen but it will be there. So, if you want to; you can grind out and permanently unlock specific 2 or 3 fundamental skills before you start the boss. It really helped my run because i started new game as master and got my ass handed to me, but after all these grind runs not only I have great moves to use on the enemies but also great insight into the enemy's moves and patterns. I thank you for attending my ted talk and here's a potato for the wall of text.

I love how this game gives you flexibility in how you fight. Some people dont like parrying and dodge and avoid hits. I on the other hand habe beaten entire dead cells with shields only (you can block for damage deny or parry which damages enemy). So I naturally block but I finished sifu twice already and still CANNIT push/throw properly and I often get punished so i ended up avoiding it. Watching two different players could look vastly different. I watched a guy running around room, sweeping througho tables and tossing every trash in enemies and it was awesome. It is completely different to how I fight which is calm and methodic. It's so fucking cool
