Namalsk is a map created by SUMRAK the creative developer for DAYZ independently and has quickly become one of the most popular maps in the entire game.

Being addicted to this map and its atmosphere, I cant tell your video is 200% accurate! You’ll all get used to it lads, and at some point you won’t be worried by the cold, diseases or lack of food (you can silently fish with an improvised fishing rod : NO NEED OF WORMS / BAITS on Namalsk). Another tip I found interesting is that you can gag yourself with a rag when sick and coughing so that you reduce the sounds of your cough and sneezes in crowded areas. Cheers 🤙🏻

Don't forget that at dusk and dawn, fishing is super OP.

You can use a watch as a compass btw: " align the hour hand of the watch with the direction of the sun. The point approximately mid-way between the 12 o'clock position on the dial and the direction of the hour hand when it is aligned with the sun indicates south. "

@@camcantrun You must have had a really hard time navigating when you first started playing DayZ. Not knowing you can navigate using the stars, the direction of shadows and waves on water, or a watch. :)

It's not reliable, but Brensk in the tippity-south-tip can spawn food. You'll be a hunter/fisher by then though. Also, "Show the overlay, Camrun." gives me Mallrats "Play the tape NOW, Silent Bob"

Cans in cooking place can not be ruined, you can keep them everytime you make a fire and they will still be the same condition, i do it all the time and use them as a heatpacks, nice vid.

Really enjoyed the video. This map is way beyond my skill level. Plus, I'm not a mystery solver type person. I enjoy watching this type but not trying to do. I get lost in buildings so you can imagine how well I do in underground mazes. If I did better at surviving, I think I would like to explore this map but not seeking beyond the map. Thanks for all the info.

23:53 the canvas bag has a slot for certain melee or sawn off weapons, and sometimes the icon disappears (bug). If that machete or hatchet is the only sharp tool you have, and you think you lost it, check that special backpack slot or you end up like me - starving and freezing to death with a fish in your hands. Great video mate! *ETA: when i say disappears, i mean it goes invisible, but if you hover over the slot you can still grab it

definitely enjoyed the long form namalsk tutorial. couple things though, the keycard from Skat-12 is also required for making the space suit, the pulsar locator only spawns at the Pheonix oil rig and is covered in toxic gas requiring full NBC. it used to spawn at athena research before the space suit update was added to Namalsk

Its like when he said "you should use the road, but you should never be ON the road", the pipes are great tip, but to use them as a guidence, not the means of travel. So obviously killing noobs is always easy, nothing to flex about..
