Just throwing it out there. Most intakes are actually less efficient than the stock intake. If you want it for the looks go for it, but it isn't a great idea for power vs catless and E85 for getting a little more out of it

Intake, headers, e85. Dip is gone. Car runs great for a na low power car
@Danbarnes03113 жыл бұрын
You are forgetting about sound tube the stock intakes on these cars come with that get removed with most if not all stock location intake kits for this car. The tube puts more stress on the engine and creates a slight power loss proper tubing with an aftermarket intake like the grimmspeed kit does actually allow for more power as it reduces breathing restriction points for the engine

@@iqglider483 don't know. I didn't get a baseline but I just had my 2013 brz on a mustang Dyno the other day. Those, to my understanding, read about 10-15% lower than other dynos. I have the grimmspeed intake, Ft86 speedfactory catted header, Perrin 2.5 inch catback, openflash flex fuel kit with a custom tune from them instead of just the off the shelf tune. It got me 189 hp to the wheels. My friend said that is the equivalent to about 250 at the crank . Not a big change in the torque as far a peak levels but the dip is absolutely gone and the hp line is a steady line up. No dips there.

Been more than 2 years since I’ve had my 86 and loving it more and more every day.
