Holy $h!t Matilda, this one is 97.5% perfect! The only thing we would ask for now is a three-season rear door to the deck, which might not even be possible. Being able to leave the deck out and lock a door behind us when we go in to sleep would be wonderful. I think the most impressive feature is the twin-to-king-vertible bed with sliding closet. You could take this trailer out every day of the week and have it configured differently each time! I have to admit it, Uncle Josh, you and Ember delivered so now the only thing left to do is figure out how to pay for this. We're sold!

i'm probably in the minority of those who don't want a tv when i'm camping, but that little nook where the tv is looks like a perfect place to put one of those flattop griddles and a small cabinet that could either store the spare or a minifridge so you have something to drink while changing the tire ;)

I said it during the premier video of the new Embers you did, Ember is challenging the rest of the RV industry. I'm so glad they stayed away from that all too tired "plaid" some are still using on the inside. LoL This is definitely one that will challenge others to step up their game in the industry - 'cause Ember is doing it right time after time.

Ember does it again! The versatility of this one is incredible, and that murphy set up is amazing! I hope others copy that. Best convertable bed ever. The did the 2 burner stove, placed it in the best way to maximize counter space. The canopy over that back porch is wonderful, and looks like it would work better than a traditional awning. The bunk system is (I'm running out of superlatives) amazing too. I wish the storage space were a little wider, but then I don't have the big toys, this works for me. The side cargo door is a great way to load without opening the rear . It's really cute too, a mini camper door, complete with a screen door. I would really like to see what Ember can do with a van. I'm more interested in getting from point A to point B, I think a van will better suit my needs.

As a 15 yr toy hauler camper, i love the flexibility and options in this design. We don't do motorcycles, but lots of bikes and surfboards and bbq equipment, etc. So this would be great. The key issues i see are - 35gal grey tank is too small. i would consider 50gal a minimum. That is always the limiting factor for dry camping anywhere where you aren't supposed to "water the bushes," especially with 4-6 people in the RV. Also, i wonder if the racks were painted to match the wall? might look less like a warehouse? And cabinet based storage is on the light side unless there is a way to use area over the table? Maybe the back space could be used a little better? Front privacy curtain for the bed area also would be nice.

TV's should be optional. One level Counter top in kitchen. Dining table in 2 peices. That way the option of shorter desk, eating for one, easy to carry and store. Rack for that table in storage area. Doors on cabinet over spare tire, if no TV more cabinet. Edge on shelf above the dining desk to prevent things from falling if used in transit or cat walking on it. Removable or folding, shelf in storage box at hitch. Animal lovers would love that little door in bunk area. Love the versatile bed arrangement. Can one bed be down and the couch option still used? As a single person that would be my plan. Love Amber's quality. I love the 2 burner stove and sink. Just need more counter for all my junk. 😂

Like your feedback. And the more they'd make this a true all season that suspension, etc. that will hold up on tougher off roads along w compost toilet, small oven and enough/more solar and water packages as standard the better. And like the option someone else added about making the table across from kitchen into two pieces instead of one long one for more versatility. Would also like to see this just in a little shorter length too and animal/dog proof it at much as possible with crate tie down options too lol.

This is amazing! Love the twin beds, all the flexible storage space, and of course, the party deck! It might be a bit too long for me, but is very tempting for a solo full-timer. While I absolutely love the twin beds, it looks like they might be a bit too high to sit comfortably on? One of the things I love about twin beds is that they can double as comfy couches, but not sure how well that would work for these. I appreciate that Ember is trying new things with layouts - so refreshing!

That's bizarre...I kinda love it. Could you use a mattress and some bolsters and/or pillows to make the etrack shelf a reasonably functional sofa? (Once the additional support is added.) I'd be interested to see a 190MSL with the bar/bed/flex thing in place of the couch. Being able to repurpose like a third of the camper (between the bunk/cargo area and the formerly-sofa space) would be really nice, I think.

The double bunk area with the cargo door is a perfect location to haul an Electra Glide or Gold Wing full dresser and the cargo door will allow for easy exit once the motorcycle is load and having them/C in that location will still allow for full access to the rest of the rigs functionality and to be able to also haul the e-bike/e-trike as well. Great job with the layout EMBER.

In the bunk area, I’d like to see some USB outlets and the continuation of the e-track system in the horizontal manner, in addition to the vertical runs. This would allow you to use the vertical portion to adjust the bunk height but then also allow you to use the horizontal runs to store bins and storage items. I could see storing kids clothes or small toys in those bins.

Ember is doing a great job innovating in the RV space. I love the versatility of this model. Kitchen is not on the camp side, so you can indeed use a 'bunk' as a table with good view of the campsite. Would be great for bikes, pets, etc. Wouldn't take it on a true off road trail but would certainly enjoy taking this through rough roads/BLM type campsites. Enjoying the views from the patio. Would be interested in seeing the concept in a 140TKR as well. Good tow package midsize/half-ton towable, would be nice.

Not a fan of the Lippert frames but this rig is expensive enough as it is so they have to cut somewhere. Interesting thing is I suspect that the Curt suspension may not offer all the bells and whistles its supposed to since this standard Limpert frame would likely cave to any demands that exceed standard suspension. So basically I think this is not really an overlander and a bit of a waste since trying to do any overlanding with a Lippert frame would likely kill it, yeah they neutered this from the get go as the frame is the RVs weakest link where it should be the strongest

Great review, and a fresh take on the toy hauler. Kudos to Ember. A couple suggestions. One, a slightly taller cargo box on the front. This would allow bigger LP tanks and longer rung times. Still allow for more battery storage if you wanted to increase the "Max solar" battery capacity. Since the box is structural, the access ladder could be integrated up the box and over the front of the RV rather than a seperate extanda ladder you have to carry. Rear of the camper, Perhaps a hot/cold tap near the flex space, either inside or outside the camper, or a small functional sink. This may be a benefit for those who want to hose off the bikes, atv, other or perhaps your daily catch at the river. Also, a good power outlet there too. Just a few thoughts.

THANK YOU, JOSH!!! Finally, the 240TKR video! I LOVE this 240TKR concept unit and the new Swiss Army Knife bed configuration. I'm glad they included a secondary side door (like the MSL units) because it's a great place to load dirty dogs! In fact, I would mind them expanding that access door to be the full MSL side access flip-up door. I also really like the wire hub "post" that has all of the display panels mounted on it. I'd like to see them put a junction box on the roof above the top of interior wiring "post" so that if you wanted to add more electronic gadgets on the roof (i.e. more solar panels, internet antennas, weather station, etc), you'd have easy, secure, weatherproof access to get the wiring to the inside of the trailer! I'd like to see Ember add an ABS & anti-sway system standard for all of their Overland Series models so that you can safely tow them on the highway while using an articulating hitch! I'd also like to see Ember configure all of their Overland Series bathrooms the same way they do on their new E-Series, with a 30"x36" shower and adjacent linen cabinet. The footprint of the bathrooms in both the Overland and E-Series are basically identical in size but the 24"x40" shower enclosures in the Overland Series units are too narrow! I'm also sad/mad that they haven't yet brought the lugan-style tables to the other Overland Series units. Other minor things include being able to mount 2 spare tires (in a stacked configuration) in the spot where they have just the one spare tire…it appears that 2 tires may fit with the ramp door closed. What's with the new ceiling fans? Are the using the same standard opening if you wanted to swap them out for a more traditional ceiling fan??? I'm curious/concerned that this 240TKR will perform to a 0-100 degree standard due to the rear loading ramp door. I'm assuming the 240TKR has not actually been Truma chamber tested yet, since it's still only a working prototype. On that note, Josh, be careful about saying that "all Ember models" have been chamber tested for 0-100 degrees, because I was told by a member of their executive staff last spring that the 221MSL hadn't actually been chamber tested. I'm sure that since the construction of all the Overland Series units are the same, they would perform similarly but be sure that they have actually tested every model/floorplan before making that statement. Finally, what mfgs need to realize on these "MAX Solar" setups is having an inverter is both nice and necessary, but the more things you can do WITHOUT engaging the invertor, the better your battery usage will be. People/mfgs need to think of inverters like generators, there are times when you need them, but you should use them as little as possible. Just running your invertor (with no appliance draw) will slowly drain your battery…and inverters just being on draw more power than many small charging devices. It's also why mfgs should ALWAYS include 12v "cigarette lighter" plugs in addition to USB A and USB C plugs. Many high draw electronics (like laptops, CPAP machines, or any electronic that comes with an in-line "brick" on the 110v charging cord) can be changed with automobile charging cords (that plug into the "cigarette lighter" barrel-style plugs) and don't need a full 110v change via the inverter. Instead, they need between the 5-volt maximum of a USB charging plug and the full 12 volts from the "cigarette lighter" outlet. So PLEASE lobby for both 12v appliances AND 12v "cigarette lighter" plugs in addition to USB A and USB C plugs in new RVs!! #nerdherd

Great video as always Josh! A few things I would add to this almost perfect Ember RV. 1. For the back area, create a non see through curtain w/railing system just inside the very back that’s split in the middle. The curtain should contain the outside colors with the Ember emblems on each side of the curtain. Maybe even have a clear window stitched in with a roll up Velcro/zipper backing to open or close. 2. Install the upfront table as the other units have. Also the slide out tray! 3. On door side metal fenders, install brackets (maybe like the track system inside) to mount tables to hold a typical grill and another table for prepping. Or another design where one end of the table connects to the fender with the other end having legs making a picnic table! 4. Install a privacy curtain system separating the front bedroom from the back. Maybe even have one in front of the bunk beads as well. 5. Install a hook or cabling system for pets. 6. Mount a box by the sewer connections to place gloves, adapters, water hoses etc in. Great job Ember!!👏🏼

I don't want to pile on here because I really like the brand and the design of this specific model, but I'm just not sure what that storage is good for. You can't store food there. If you do you have to bring it in every night. Nobody wants a bear on their patio. I'm sure you can put games or something there but again you can't put it there in road mode because it's going to fall out when you tow. I don't know. I don't need to rub it in. I just want doors. I would like to extend that comment to all of the Overland Embers. Cabinet doors everywhere please.

Don't mind the twin beds but not liking the bendy bed. Make it 2 ft or so longer and have a regular queen walk around. Would like to see the 3 season patio doors. We have them on our ORV 24TRX and can't see camping around bugs with out the 3 seasons patio doors. i know the height is not there on this bad boy. nice video. Nice video/rig.

This one I really like, the only thing I would change is the bathroom/ kitchen area, reverse it to open the back for loading a smaller UTV with the upcoming changes to the wheel wells you could shoot the utv straight end. The forward bed area is fantastic with the changes you could make. This unit could be a couples or guys get away unit. If the changes I suggested with a total max out solar system, just tell me where to send the check I’ll come and get it 👍👍👏👏

What about that cover over the patio-standard or option? I'd like to see something on the options they have for their track system. I'd like to have a tall cabinet between the bunks and the table, since there is no pantry and minimal storage inside. I saw Myles' review of this, and was eager to see yours. Intriguing concept.

Lol....have hammocks options to replace the bunks. They make good storage area for duffle bags. So a hammock on top, with a bunk below. Or 2 hammocks. How about an outside tool rack for your shovel, ax, ramps, etc. And yes, my inside gun safe too. Deputy Doug

If they found an underslung space for that spare and plumbed in for a all in one laundry machine, this would actually be perfect. This gives you a living/dining area in the front, the middle area with the additional etrack pole allows for a single person bunk, and the rear, thats the laundry/dressing area.

I love this. My only potential concern is for the sofa - it looks like sitting there for more than 5 minutes would be very uncomfortable. Have they considered some better padding? Would be cool if they could squeeze in a J lounge in that area too, without giving up the murphy bed, although I'm not entirely sure there's enough room for such a setup.

Good job with this review. I'm not a fan of most travel trailer &/or toy hauler setups. I spent quite a bit of time checking out every square inch of this build at the '23 Overland Expo East (with my son jumping/swinging/climbing throughout) and was blown away by the versatile design. I would jump on this in a heartbeat if the quality of interior materials were a bit better...even so, I am considering getting one. I'm new to this type of market though, so maybe I just need to get used to cheap internals unless I want a super heavy and expensive trailer.
