The detail community such as this channel has opened up my mind beyond my obsessiveness of perfection. With this being said, it has helped guide me along the way to curate a path towards customizing the result with the desire of the customer. The best contribution on our end is being an educator to the ones without all our wisdom and hopefully they see the light. The key is to be patient and accept whatever is chosen.

I've got enthusiast tips for the 2 bucket wash home detailer not using a power washer: First tip has not been mentioned in a while. Learned it from the @Junkman2008 back in the day. After your wash and rinse, remove the sprayer and just run the water thru the hose and let it fall on across the paint. This will grab a lot of the water beading on the surface and pull it away making it a lot easier to dry. This helps me by removing the water beading, which could lead to spotting when washing. Second tip is use the clean "wash" soap bucket water to refill your foaming sprayer, if you use one.

Regarding Yvan's comments on products - learn the chemical inside and out. Know how it performs in low humidity, high humidity, high temperatures, low temperatures, direct sunlight vs shade, how it reacts on different surfaces, how it performs when using it with a dual action polisher vs a rotary. And don't just take other people's words for it. Actually do the researching and experimentation (not on customer vehicles obviously) and see for yourself.

I'm not saying you can't use Serrano Sauce safely, but it's an unnecessary risk if you're a professional doing professional work. People are paying you to clean their vehicle, not damage it. Use a higher quality and safer product even if it costs a little more to buy.

One important factor that I’m not hearing is utilizing steam. I’m not talking about your harbor freight type steamer. I’m talking about an all in one steamer that extracts and steam cleans with pressure at the same time. This system will eliminate most chemicals because of the higher temperature. Steam at 300+ degrees will kill pathogens and sanitize at same time without using chemicals. But if you happen to use them, the steam will rinse away any residue leaving a perfect high quality result. On top of that when extracting, there will be less moisture leaving the fabric and carpet faster dry time. I have used steam for over 12 years and won’t clean anything unless I use steam.

For me the only good one came out of Reggie and the veritas with Andreas as they try to break down the reality of this scheme. There is always a fuss with a lot individuals saying we are doing the same thing but under the description a lot will get cleared up. If we are to say commercial cleaning or commercial automobile cleaning services that are not time abundance services but time limited as a result poorer outcomes. Whilst to detail and do all the difficult ones is about time cause to rush can lead to damage. Naturally experience and tools will always save time. But needs time without a deadline. As an example will use the BH autofoam i mentioned on the other video. So my policy on big projects typicaly cars that are priced over the average i will make sure that in between my steps i will try to remove fully my heavy compound prior moving to my next. so my surface i totally free to allow the new step compound that may be a medium cut or a heavy again with another pad. Just to wash in between and dry the car is a good 1 hour to set up dry with air the majority inspect the car again prior moving it to the next step.
@Ecdetails3 ай бұрын
Let me ask this are you washing after a heavy compound like Gyeon use to do a “degreasing step”
@shrmtales3 ай бұрын
@@Ecdetails Yes as stupid it may sounds to some. My reasoning to do that is that IPA does not fully remove the compounds. I have tried all sort of dilutions. and every time the water spray test proves positive as the water beads up. Even warm water as we used to do does not really do much. So on high end projects i want to fully eliminate the probable fill in that naturally occurs from the compounds take it out in the sun and inspect all angles and proceed free of my next step. Even that i use RDAs that does not mean i do the commercial 2 step that is heavily promoted. As Yvan says work clean clean your pads etc why go and step on a panel that may or has residue left. Why not apply the medium of finer compounds to an equal surface situation as the heavy is applied? Another reason is not have to wipe off hard enough with towels. And to me what gyeon is suggesting is not a new trend or recent appliance to the field. Does it worth the trouble or makes sense i dont care i know my expenses my plan the client is paying for those anyways passively to the total and i have my piece of mind that did used all my arsenal of tools and past experience or peer advised

Hate to be „that guy“, but it needs to be said… Super Clean pure has a pH value of ~13. Diluted 30:1, it still has a pH value between 11 and 12, which is WAY too high for the leather‘s top coat in modern cars. I completely understand the value and intention if videos like these, but we as content creators have responsibility. And recommending something which every single leather expert out there will tell you is damaging to leather does noone a service.
@FrankoDetails3 ай бұрын
i love this topic you bring up. i have a question, you advise that the super clean diluted 30:1 is still way too high for the leathers topcoat, wether it’s super clean or another cleanser. is it not “ok” to use for a detail that may happen once every few months. i could understand the damage it may cause if every thursday someone uses it for their weekly maintenance routine, but for a deep clean interior detail that may happen 1 or 2 times a year or possibly never again, is that chemical and dilution still not ok? ✌🏽🐿️💨
@AndreasSchwarzinger3 ай бұрын
@@FrankoDetails no. A chemical burn is a chemical burn. If we would talk about something with a pH of 8 or 9, then your argument COULD - ceteris paribus - be worth discussing, as proper pH neutral leather cleaners which actually work are expensive and I understand that you cannot use them on every job, so less expensive but slightly alkaline ones CAN be ok in SOME occasions and on SOME leathers where efficiency and time are of great importance. But at a ph above 10, the damage you inflict on the leather‘s top coat is immediate. It is the equivalent of burning you skin on a stove.
@FrankoDetails3 ай бұрын
@@AndreasSchwarzinger thank you, great information. i detail my own vehicles and very seldom does my career allow me to do it for customers so i don’t have the need to have a large surplus of interior cleaners. but my interior chems of choice at the moment are from p&s. what is your youtube channel or what channel are you on so i can soak up the knowledge you have to share
