I love the Field Notes notebook. I never thought I'd find enough need to carry a notebook, but after having one and carrying it every day I use it far more than expected. Video ideas, to-do lists, packing list ideas and ideas for making my own gear! Simply great to be able to jot those down on paper as soon as they enter your head.

Another home-run video by Pack Hacker! :-D So far I can count 9 specific things from the list that I’ve adopted to my travel kit because of PH: Kikkerland travel adapter, Victorinox nail clippers, Matador flatpak soap bar case, crystal deodorant (although I use a different brand), Heroclip, Vapur water bottle, Buff USA wool buff, Smartwool liner gloves, and the Nite ize s-biner microlock. All of them have been great additions!

I am a big fan of the channel, and you have some fantastic reviews. I do struggle with this list as after a quick look and run down you are looking at Roughtly £3500, and that's excluding the Laptop and Phone. This isn't an achievable figure for many people and for the most part makes one bag travel seem out of the realm for most... for future videos, it would be great to see low price alternative as I can tell you as someone currently traveling for 2 years, my gear didn't cost that much including all my tech ( as a travel photographer so not cheap stuff). I would rather spend less than a £1000 on gear, and spend the remaining 2500 on the travel. and I know this is a great place to start for most people, but I worry it might scare people off when they look at a t-shirt and it cost that much ( for example). Great video as always thought,.

My mobile tech setup is very similar! Though I haven't had the opportunity to travel with it yet. If you were to swap out your power bank with an Anker Mag Go, you could theoretically remove the lightning cable and the phone tripod if you wanted. Then it becomes a desktop wireless charger for your phone and Airpods. I'd probably also swap the Roost Stand and the Matador Base Layer with a MOFT Sleeve, which is my favorite. I'm also partial to the Waterfield Designs Gear pouch because it can hold my keyboard along with all of my other tech. It might not save space per-say, but I'm a huge fan of the all-in-oneness. Lastly, if you're just using the Thunderbolt dock to plug into eithernet, I'd look into a travel router. It's way more secure than plugging directly into someone else's network, and you get more range. Obviously, this wouldn't work for everyone, but that kit is my favorite, personally. I don't get to take it much farther than the coffee shop very often, but I have a feeling it will travel well when I have the opportunity.

If I have to pick one favorite on the list, it would be the AirPods Pro. I have ADHD, so focusing can be really hard for me, particularly in a noisy environment. The noise cancellation for these is on point, and it lets me focus when I need to, but I can turn it off with a long press if I need to hear what's going on around me - like outside walking to the store. And as an added bonus, the live listen feature is phenomenal. I have tinnitus, so the ability to cancel out background sounds when I'm in a bar with friends is incredible. They're tiny, versatile, and work well in the Apple ecosystem, so I can switch pretty seamlessly between my Macbook and my iPhone with no issue. TOTALLY love them.

Oh come on this is easy. Its the Aer Travel Pack 3 without a doubt. Newly designed I think this thing has a lot to offer. I like the water bottle holder is a little larger. The new zipper placement is going to be a LIFESAFER because I found myself often having to unbuckle the side straps just to open the zipper of the main compartment. Speaking of zippers, NOT a huge fan of the magnetic clips at all. I think a simple buckle would have done well and while I understand where Aer might have been going with this one, to make it more quickly accessible, I think that it falls short of the end goal. With 2 extra liters of room… I can finally bring that 2 liter of Mt Dew I have been saving! Overall, I LOVE the new design and I think this new back will quickly (and sadly) replace the Aer Travel Pack 2 I purchased back in December! But let me take a moment to also talk about the Unbound Merino shirts. If you are buying merino wool shirts from anywhere else, you are doing yourself wrong. Unbound is AMAZING. Possibly the softest shirts I have ever worn. I worn one for an entire month straight all the way from Rome to Istanbul and back to Plovdiv. It was pretty rough afterward and did require a lot of perfume and deodorant but you COULD NOT do that with a normal cotton shirt. Also their customer service came in clutch and emailed me about an order with a shift size they noticed didn’t match the rest of my order and I quickly responded and got that fixed. Otherwise it would have been a headache. They get MAD PROPS for that.
@PackHacker2 жыл бұрын

AirTags can be great for if you lose your stuff or maybe if an airline loses it, but they don't work for thieves at all. My backpack was stolen recently and the thief was able to use the anti-stalking feature that AirTags have to pretty much immediately disable it. My AirPods were also in the bag, but they were dead so they were no help locating it either.

I’d recommend the Leatherman Style PS multi-tool. It contains tweezers, the scissors can be used as nail clippers, and it has pliers which I find very helpful when I least expect it. It also has a bottle opener and file/screwdriver thingy. It’s crazy small and TSA compliant although some officers may think otherwise. I just think for the amount of functions it offers, it can replace the need to carry 3 or 4 individual tools, saving valuable space.

My favorite piece of gear in the new list is the Matador Laptop Base Layer, as it is entirely new to me, but it seems like it will solve many concerns I have. I often have to travel on small regional jets for part of my journey, and they occasionally make you check standard carry-on items near the upper size limit due to limited overhead space (and the smaller than usual under-seat space). Thus, I am always afraid that, if I do one bag travel, I will need to figure out how to avoid having my laptop end up in a plane-side checked bag. (So far, it hasn’t happened thankfully.) The Matador base layer will solve that problem for me and I really like that it is water proof too. There are tons of other items on the list that I really like as well, but this is my pick this time around.

Loved the video! Great recommendations but i have one change. Id use the Native Union charging cables since they are so durable and have lifetime warranty which eventually we have to replace them and their customer service has been amazing

65w power adapter will be enough to charge that laptop but just barely especially in use. I understand the need to keep things light but there's a lot more into power adapters and cables than just look and feel. For example, that powerline 3 series is cool, but the speeds are at the level of usb 2.0 so your usb 3.0 ports in your splitter are being capped. The usb c to usb c does offer up to 100w of charging but that doesnt really matter since your brick only provides a max of 65w.

for none iPhone users SanDisk usb type c flash drive can be used to free up some space from your phone memory to allow you to take more 4k videos without worrying about how much left of your phone memory. plus an excellent replacement and 2 in 1 device is Samsung galaxy fold 3 to replace your tablet for media consumption and for productivity when used with Samsung stylus.

With the thing about the safety razor... according to TSA they are allowed in carry-on as long as the blade is removed. That being said it adds additional stress and time to security. Also it is still up to the TSA agent so that effects it too. Finally it isn't certain for international travel. I wanted to add that just point out that it is possible but it is more of a hassle.

I love the Air Deck Playing Cards so much they've also become part of my EDC. The cards live in my sling now. I use them all the time to keep my kids occupied. Whether we are on a plane, at a restaurant, brewery, or anywhere we are waiting, we bust out the cards. It keeps the kids occupied without resorting to screen time!

I love your videos! I can’t wait for you to create videos for women. Also, do any company make backpacks for travel that are antitheft and consider as airline personal size?

I love this list! My top three favorite items from the list and reasons why: - Heroclip because I use them everyday and when traveling. They are beyond amazing at suspending my bag, in all its glory, wherever it's adorned. They are also lightweight, effortlessly hangs on to my hat, and at the end of each day keeps my work headset tidy. - Matador Flat Pak Soap Bar Case because once you switch to this case, you never have to deal with weird mushy, messy, soggy soap again. It's like magic...the soap goes in, secure the roll top, and it dries on its own. It just makes for a more enjoyable shower and travel experience. - Buff's Merino Wool Buff has traveled the world with me since 2019 and if you have one then you know how comfortable and versatile an item it is. I like that it supplies warmth when needed, but also adds a certain pizzazz to my wardrobe with very little effort. The first Pack Hacker video I'd ever watched suggested it and I'm glad because I've been a fan ever since. After watching the video, there were some items that sparked my interest so I placed an Amazon order :)

I am a huge fan of the Eagle Creek packing bags! Easy to use and I've never had an issue with them. If I'm travelling for work, I have to carry a few extras like more personal grooming stuff and bulkier formal clothes, but most of these items are awesome additions.

Wow Tom, amazing vs2! The destination B-roll was great. Such a well honed list of items! I'm not quite so minimal, but I will say those Gravel silicon liquid containers are my go-to as well, along with the Matador earplugs and many other items on your list. Is your peanut shaver obscenely noisy? I have the same one. But recently I purchased the Philips Norelco OneBlade Face + Body, and it is super light weight, quieter, better quality trim, and more versatile which I have been testing over the last month. I too use the Arcade belts and they are fantastic for everyday and travel. We have around 15 pairs of Vivobarefoots and we live in those things. They are all wonderful! Unbound is my go to for merino T's because of their comfort and they come in v-neck. You oughta check out the KUHL, Deceptr Pant, RAVEN's. I think I may like them over my WW Evolutions, and Duers. Have a great day! Thanks for a great second roundup!
