It is so ULTIMATE that setting the price of 5700u to the level of 7735hs! Screw everything to upgrade the ram and ssd is such an INTERESTING experience which so rare in mini pc!

How does this performs with the more demanding 3D arcade games on MAME or on other emulators? Can it play Sega Model 2 or Model 3 games on emulators like Supermodel or similar? I am looking for a small machine to play those on my TV without using a real PC…

Seems like a neat and fun product, but it seems kind of like a non-portable Steam Deck. That's not to take away from it, and it's better price tag helps it out quite a bit against the competition, but if you find the extra money I would say that the Steam Deck offers better value. Especially with the new OLED model which offers a great image and even slightly more powerful hardware compared to the original.

It's really enticing. I eagerly await the one I purchased. Do you know if handles higher refresh rates at 1080p? I plan to use it with 144Hz monitor, for more fluid animations, at least.

Naw, 5700u ain't the ultimate anything, it's just a very serviceable mid-range low-power workhorse that will get the job done... but if they manage to bring this thing in in the $200 range, it could be interesting.

At this rate 7735hs is the bare minimum imho for $300 these days 7840u can get to $400-450

Who is this for? People who would know about this probably have better options for gaming, even handheld emulation that is nearly as good. Is it 100% just trying to pull people with its aesthetic?

I'd be interested to know what those better options for emulation are - I'm in the market for something like this; a mini PC that can run everything up to ps2/GameCube with upscale. Everything I can find is a handheld, Steamdeck and Odin 2. And don't get me wrong, they do what I want but they have extra features I don't need; screen, battery, controller and don't want to pay for. Etc. any recommendations for a straight emulation PC?

LOL, the AN01 uses the 5700U which is actually a downgrade from the 5700G I used when I built a new PC using the Asus Deskmini 300 mainboard & case. And they're both the same size!
