Btw Core-fu achievement doesn't requeir to be revoke 5 cores as corfu. You can revoke core as other nation and release yourself as corfu to get the achievement

I reckon you could probably do about 25-30 easily with 0 achievements unlocked. By tag switching a bunch and stuff like that, it's probably possible to double that or more but it would be an insane grind and heavily reliant on some rng based achievements too. Would be interesting though, finding the ultimate run to get as many achievements as possible in one playthrough.

1:21:00 That one is Total Control (Own 100 provinces that have 0% Local unrest and Local autonomy). Ming starts with 111 provinces, all with no autonomy or unrest, at the start of the game, so you can get that and Three Trivial Tributary Tribes at the same time in 1444 if you have Mandate of Heaven. Edit: Oh, you found it later. That's what I get for commenting before finishing the video, I guess. Tip still applies, though.

I personally have found the sun god one to be pretty fun. But that may be because I really like the inca. The feeling of having built up a native american nation from nothing, overcoming the europeans and eventually becoming the leading power in the world. Sure it is an entire campaign, so not for the impatient but I personally have done this playthrough as often as I have done a prussian or dutch campaign.

Yeah, this here. South America is a completely different game when you start there vs. Play as a colonizer country. It's mega strong, and it's really fun to snake your way north, taking on increasingly powerful European countries as you get into the 1600s. AND when you get around to the Brazil area, you can build up a fleet and invade the Songhai area, climb north into the Maghreb, and fight the Euros at home, too. LOVED this achievement and the Inca run in general. It has like 4-5 distinct phases, and might genuinely be one of the most fun possible WC starts just because it stays interesting for the entire run.

I’ve always divided eu4 achievments into two categories: one where you set out the run with the intention of getting it, for example sun god, big blue blob, and then ones where you look at the list and think “oh man I could probably snipe that real quick” like bleed them dry. Imo they can’t really be compared on the same level.

Its a pity that Abu Bakr II ambition does not appear in the wiki anymore I dont know why. For me it was the most enjoyable achievement, for the achievement itself and for the story behind. If someone reads this comment I highly encourage you to try it.

Not gonna lie, I got the This is fine achievement by total accident in a game as Songhai. I wasn’t paying attention and accidentally truce broke while in a war and then was panicking until I started slaughtering the coalition with my 2 mil techs ahead super soldiers haha!

Personally I enjoy decentralizing the empire, I know its objectively better to centralize but I did a game to get Hessian Mercenaries and I decided to go down decentralizing for the memes, it was actually quite enjoyable watching the empire strengthened but not just unified

Just did the penguin achievement as Imerina, had a pretty good time. Conquering madagascar is easy, then finding a way to attack Kilwa was slightly more tricky to get to the gold which ultimately funded my colonies in the (about 20 I think) most southern provinces in the world. It's relatively short but sweet and gives you a reason to play in madagascar, which I had never done. Recommend that one. Very chill, not too hard or a grind.

It is very personal and subjective. I myself enjoy longer games. For instance, I think Anglophile was one of the most enjoyable games I did so far, and got some interesting side achievements as well that game, such as Master of India.

Korea is one of my fall back nations that I just love playing. You can go absolute fucking ham militarily, or you can play the trade game and hop down into the spice islands, or even get colonial in two different directions. I'm glad you agree its a great nation.

talking of Ryazan.. I did a custom nation of Cossacks OPM but I had Ryazan Culture cos I was gonna change to Russia later for the extra manpower extra.. but then I realised its much better staying as a horde.. I had custom national idea of +40% razing power & then government +35% i think and event of +20%... I literally havent done better in this game other than as Austria & Mughals... I was ahead on institutions, tech & ideas for the entire game.. and had OP military... 8 cavalry armies

Got the 3:14 achiv while playing England and at War, which involved occupying most of Italy (like Venice and Papal State)... once my armies occupied most of the land i've got highest trade power in venice and genoa, while being top trade power in english channel... realy didin't aimed for it, or planned... i just got into war and did some sieges... that's all...

Prince of Egypt is fun, except that you actually need tech 20 to form Egypt. This meant that I had to wait 100 extra years after getting all the egyptian provinces and converting to egyptian culture

I'd say the Sun God is one of the most fun achievements you can do. Not only is the early game very, very fun as Cusco, but the mid-game fighting against colonists is also some of the best native gameplay EU4 has to offer. Although the lategame can get grindy, it's still not bad when you're #1 GP and have all Europeans aggressively declaring for your provinces. Praise the Sun! Also, Unlikely Candidate, Good King Rene, Lessons of Hemmingstidt, Marie of Lotharingia, Shahanshah, & Dracula's Revenge are THE most fun achievements I've done to date. And I'd personally rate the Forever Golden achievement A-tier just because of how much flavour the mission tree has, forcing you to go colonial and get involved in HRE!

As far as the "even better than piet hein" achievement, I had a lot of fun messing with Spain and Portugal with privateers. I wouldn't go for it in particular, but I had fun stealing a third of the Iberian nations' gold fleets, and I got it just by playing like that.

I once did the "It's fine" achivement. And i didn't plan to. I just wanted to play as bohemia and declare war on as many nations as possible with co-belligerenting countries on declarr war. At the start of the war i was crushed and partially ocupied by 2 nations. I got the achivement by doing it. The main thing here is that you will end the war only if you will sign peace and i didn't i was just looking at them all occupiing me. Interestingly by co-belligerenting nations i was at war with smb from India) And i can finish saying that you can use co-belling to scout the capitals of different countries(it's useless)

Baesalis descripton is so misleading. You literally only need the lands that start in Ottoman and Beylik control. Not even the balkans. No where near as hard as forming rome, even as a country like Byzantium.

The only bad aspect of Forever GOlden is the early competition with Portugal. You want it to help you colonize, but it gets a heavy headstart in colonization and, since it seems it can colonize 3 provinces at a time by the time you arrive in the Caribbean, having to colonize Santo Domingo and Havana before Portugal is a feat in and of itself. Also the 5 provinces in their respective isles, with Portugal meddling it's hell and I had to restart 3 times before Portugal went down to Africa instead of the Caribbean...

A lot of these achievements really changed in difficulty over the years. I.e. the have 3 PUs as austria was actually not that easy before mission trees existed, since you didn't get those free pu cbs on Hungary and Bohemia. You could get them by a random mission iirc, but that was, as I said random. (maybe there was also an event or two, but definetly not as straight forward as it is now)

For that one specifically it was “harder” but there was other ways you’d get the PUs. Bohemia would end the interregnum with your ruler nearly 100% of the time, and Hungary had an event where they’d get a habsburg. Then you just need one more random PU or wait for Spain to also get a habsburg via the Fench rivalry event.
