I think you are overrating England quite a bit, guys. This England team hasn't really done anything in recent years, even with the benefit of kind draws. Just looking at the defense and GK alone makes me laugh. Pickford? Guehi? Gomez? Tripper? A battered Stones? All of the other top nations are better than England defensively, with the exception of maybe Spain. Midfield is looking a bit thin, too, and any of the midfield trio combinations is getting run over by the half-decent team they come across. I can easily see Serbia, with Kostic, Mitrovic, Vlahovic, Milinkovic-Savic and Tadic, causing a massive upset in the first game potentially if England aren't careful. England's strength is their attacking talent and their depth, and they need to utilise that if they want to go far. But, I don't think they're a top 3 squad in the tournament. 4th or 5th is much more accurate, IMO. I think Germany, France and Portugal are the first names I think of when I look at potential tournament winners. I also see England struggling against Holland, Croatia and maybe even Italy or Spain.

england defence and team setup a bit worries me a lotttt (not peraonally bc i'm not english lol) but kyle walker and trippier look so so washed and out of it, southgate doesn't play TAA at rb, shaw's fitness is dubious, stones doesn't look at his best, he didn't take branthwaite and imo dunk is just not at the level in terms of the big games. attack wise, they should be absolutely dominating teams but i don't think they have enough pace on the wings (with the exception of gordon) and if their friendlies are anything to go by, they look a bit dull. but just because of the sheer quality of the players and the pragmatism Southgate usually tends to favor, they should be able to get to the QFs without tooo much difficulty. they should really be in the final at the very least but after that tbh i don't have crazy strong belief in them against the top teams. the dalot moment killlled me 😭
