Clean rig Tom and that was some spicy B-roll!! Like the idea of using the knobs on the rods to cable mange. One less thing to worry about without spending more money.

I keep watching rigging videos but the more i watch the more i realise that i really don't need to rig it. I have an fx9 so if i need to rig the FX3 i should just use the FX9 and keeping the FX3 more or less stock affords me a different way of shooting. Still, great video and nice rig, only thing i would be concerned about is the FX3's monitor getting broken. Also i wonder i wonder if losing access to your rear buttons is worth it or if swiping on the monitor is a good enough replacement.

Hey pal, thanks for the comment and totally understand rigs are not for everyone. I do a lot of corporate work and for that, its great, but sometimes just the camera is plenty fine too. but to answer your other concerns, you definitely don't loose access to the back of the camera, im still able to change all the settings and see clearly what im doing. Usually once i'm set up, the only thing that needs changing is exposure and thats done with an ND filter, so its never really an issue. The monitor is a slight risk, but you get that risk even without the rig! But appreciate the kind words man!

Love to hear it! It works really well! And you can swap out the wooden handle for a follow focus gear if needed (should have included that in the video really..)

Where did you get that hdmi cable?! Been looking everywhere for a coiled right-angle one like that. Awesome build. Using the RS3 transmitter was very cool as well.

Nice Rig, I like it. Can you arrange the rig with 28-135 F4 PZ lens. And I subscribed your KZbin channel.👍
@tomleefilms9 ай бұрын
Hey! Sure you can, you would just need to add a support mount to the rails as the lens is on the heavier side. Thanks so much!! 👊🏼

That’s how I felt when I got mine too 😂 the real mind f is if you look at the camera our side of the small rig set up it’s literally almost the same size as a my iPhone 15 max😂
