The base concept of "game developer so blinded by his own ego and creative vision that he overworks and endangers his staff" is something that I think could really work for a "scary" gaming pasta, but the actual execution definitely sucked.

Xeorax, an ocarina of time focused story like happiness for sale, Meek, a story about a gaming addicted man with a dark twist, link to your past, a dark link to the past rom hack centered around the author’s life and The Sytellian Specter, another 4D virtual reality type story that horribly backfires.
