Im having to fix their undeposited funds account, aging AR & AP, and fix transactions not coded to correct chart of accounts, on top of everything you meantioned. Do you check these details yourself? Cash is only what comes in and what is spent at that time. Only suitable for a very small business. Accural is far better if you have accounts to pay or send out invoices. Accural accounting is normal for most purposes.
