Bookkeeping is something that directly affects the customer positively or negatively. My question is one that many people fail to foresee until that dreadful moment and that is accountability. How do we fix or deal with these issues should they arise and they will? So knowing how to deal with a customer so that you end up pleasing them and not paying for it. These things can go to court and are just as important as learning Quickbooks or data entry.

I just completed the course. It’s no longer free, but reasonable ($45). There’s a 2nd layer - a Q&A session. It’s $47 (?) to listen and $179 (this may not be right - but it’s close). I opted to listen to the Q&A only and I’m glad I did. Many people had exactly the same questions and hadn’t listened in class OR the other times it had been asked. The class had good information BUT many of the early promises would only be delivered if you signed up for the mentorship program. It’s now $5999 or $7499 if you want to break it up into two easy payments. Too rich for me! Was the class worthwhile? Definitely! He sends you a free copy of his book, but I had downloaded the Kindle version for free.
@KatJaguar112210 ай бұрын
Hi, thank you. I just found out about the $47 week long class (approximately 8hours long?) plus a few extras. He says “everything you need for your book keeping business”. I assume you did the same course that I am seeing. Do you feel you can have a bookkeeping business as a result of this course, or that technically, with the q&a, that it could happen, perhaps with continued review of your materials, without the added 6k or 7k addition?
@kathybierman954510 ай бұрын
@@KatJaguar1122 That’s what I’m doing. It’s probably faster/easier if you pay for the mentorship but it just wasn’t possible for me. I’m studying for the QBO certification exams because it seems to be the cheapest/easiest marketing plan (I’m a major introvert).
@KatJaguar112210 ай бұрын
@@kathybierman9545 excellent. Okay. I see the QBO certification is free. So in saying that that seems to be the cheapest/easiest marketing plan, you mean that you would present that certification to potential clients as your marketing? Take Bookkeeper Launch instead, it’s less than half the price. I did the week long Booming Bookkeeping Challenge for the $47 plus $47 for VIP and that was great, but I was bummed out that the full session was $4997 if paid in 1 lump sum, or $5991 paid in 3 installments of $1997, with a $997 deposit. No smaller payment options, which just seems weird. They say “if you want to do it you will find a way.” I guess… but coming up with an extra $2k a month is not as easy as the $249 for Bookkeeper Launch, which seems way more in line with the pricing of someone just trying to start out. Just my honest opinion!

Congrats on passing your ProAdvisor certification! Morgan personally LOVES Bookkeeper Launch and really hasn't heard of anyone who has been disappointed by the program. They have amazing customer service, they start at the very beginning (for someone who has no experience) and they give you lots of help along the way (group to ask questions, email helpline, calls). The program is quite thorough, so Morgan says make sure you have time to go through all the material. Let us know if you have any questions about the program. I'll link some videos Morgan made about it below, in case you haven't seen them: Bookkeeper Launch Review - kzbin.info/www/bejne/qHnHoHyBfrmcqKc 10 Ways to Learn Bookkeeping - kzbin.info/www/bejne/a4iUnmBmh5t7lc0 Bookkeeper Launch - sk293.isrefer.com/go/BLFAQ/ML82/ Krista (FinePoints Admin)

Dumb question but when it comes taxes for a freelance web designer and just taxes in general, whenever they're due, it means the taxes for the previous year right? So the income I earn this year I'd pay taxes for them in 2023? Also I'm 21, just started working for myself, my parents always handled my taxes since I worked normal jobs back then

I'm so sorry that happened to you. Maybe this is a sign for you to focus on your bookkeeping business. Make your investment work through the storm. Turn your negative into a positive. I pray it will work out for you. In 2009 I was laid off from a great job. I was unemployed for 2 years. So much had happened during that time. I got a divorce, my father died and I became a single parent. I bought a cleaning franchise and I was in business for 10 and a half years. Now, I want to start my income tax business along with bookkeeping. I was a bookkeeper for 12 years. This guy who's doing this course learned on his own. Yes, you have already invested. Make it work for you. Please do not give up. You can learn also. If you're a praying person,please pray for direction and energy to push forward.

That gets you into the "5-Day Challenge," in which you're given a birdseye overview of what it's like to be a bookkeeper and do the tasks a bookkeeper does. The training is actually pretty slight. To get into the Mentorship Program, Bill just made it a lot easier to get in. If you can afford the $5k price tag, you pay nothing more. But if not, there's another way to join the Mentorship Program: if you took the 5-Day Challenge for $47, then you only pay a monthly fee of $200. The caveat is that if you miss a membership (subscription) payment or cancel, then you have to pay a set-up fee of $2,500 to rejoin the program.

There ain't no way these people are getting hired on to any legit business. Sorry, not happening. You're better off taking your 5 grand and buying a small cleaning/housekeeping franchise. Business owners will surely hire you to clean their commode, but not so much to screw around with their money.
