WAIT WAIT SOMEBODY I NEED AN ANSWER: so like amber said you can put a paper mask onto one of the plastic waterproof ones to make it more durable, but it wouldnt be waterproof anymore wouldnt it? The paper mask can wear out and the plastic mask wouldnt be so “durable” anymore. Thats my question but at the same time i want my plastic mask to be sturdy

Sorry guys! I actually stated this incorrectly: I usually felt the plastic mask base, and if the mask needs additional support I glue the paper base behind it. Hope this helps!

I just wanna say, THANK YOU SO MUCH for this, because I told my mom a few days ago that I would like to make a mask of one of my theriotypes ( No, she doesn't know I'm a therian yet, but I'm confident that she'll be fine with it based on what she said about the mask) and she said " Sure! I use foam clay too lol but it always makes my mask brake like when I felt the mask and paint it in 2 weeks it falls apart but since amber giving me this guide I feel much better and not scared but yes I started using water colors and alcohol markers it feels much better and not just falling apart!

Omg ty ty ty this video has helped me so much i went to hobby lobby today and got 4pcs of white felt 4pcs of black felt 1pcs of black faux fur and 1pcs of white faux fur i also go plastic mesh instead of fabric mesh (i prefer plastic mesh) i got foam and lastly air dry clay! Hello Amber I love your content …. But I just found out something that I think will help people in there mask making : so yes air brush when doing the stripes on your mask blends out the colour BUT…… i just found out that YES you can use markers for the stripes or the things that you’ll add.. markers can blend 😮😮😮 it’s simply if you get a bit of felt once you have done what you want with the marker and just blended with the felt it actually looks the same to airbrush ❤❤❤❤ I just thought I should share that to people who don’t have airbrushes ( like meh ) can you this tip‼️‼️‼️❤️❤️❤️

I recommend using eyeshadow if you don’t have a airbrush, it takes a lot longer but it has the same effect and you have more control

RAHH AMBER TYSMMM FOR THISSS ur quadrobics tutorial helped me very much with my high jumps, and this helps me SO MUCH with my masks!! I have a few questions if you would like to answer them, okay so first question: when making a waterproof mask, and having eye mesh on it, doesnt the eye mesh get destroyed? Because i tried changing eye color on my mask so i took water on the mesh and it kinda got destroyed- second question, do you just make the mask as you would with a normal one when making it waterproof, just having a plastic mask instead, or do you have to do something special for it to not break? Third question lol, you said you use air dry clay for the muzzle, if you dont use clay is it like a hole when you look up that you see your face bc it does not sit good at the cheeks and mouth (i suck at explaining but wdym using clay for the muzzle is kinda the question) fourth, how long does it take for the mask to dry if you are underwater with it?
