You guys sold me on the Helix Floor with all the great patch tones you exhibited. What I don't hear you mention is the use of FRFR powered speakers vs. Amp/speaker combos (Fender Hot rod Deluxe, Princeton Reverb, etc... or amplifier - cabinet combos for live playing at church. Great take on the Pod GO, which I'm a proud owner of! I think that a lot of people underestimate, how vast tonal palette can you get with amp, cab and 4 (plus minus) blocks. Yes, you won't get that 3 subtle washy delays or crazy poly pitch stuff, but all the usual guitar tones are 100% there.

great vid guys! I recently went through the buying process for modeler tech. I ended up going with the headrush mx5 due to footprint and some other factors. There are so many modelers coming on the market recently there was a lot to choose from for sure. I did like the Helix family and plenty of my bros at church love them... I just wanted to be different. My pops has an old Line 6 AX2 212, so perhaps I'm just rebelling from line6 lol.

The Line 6 Pod GO is absolutely the winner for me. I think my entire rig (guitar + gear) costs less than most of the "big" modelers, but I am really happy with what I can do. Plus, I take public transportation (and walk) to get to church, so I love the fact that the Pod GO is a small all-in-one device that I can toss in a backpack. And I've received compliments on my tone - thanks to the WT AC30 patch which was my starting point! Very easy to use.

Thanks for this. I have a guitar, pedals, and a really nice high end custom made tube amp. I am retiring and plan to start playing and practicing a LOT more. I am a neophyte re using something like the Helix. Questions - does it function well to put music into my computer for recording? What should I do about a speaker for practice at home? Use my amp? Or should i use a PA speaker? Something else?

Good video guide, I agree with everything you said - though my opinion isn't worth 0.02 :). I have had a helix for a little over 2 years and use it for 3 services a week (+ rehearsals) at my church. It has also been rocks solid and gives amazing tones and is easy to use. My one regret is that I didn't buy the Sweetwater exclusive color as I think it might be easier to keep looking clean vs. the standard black. Also, it is hefty and I have been tempted by the ultra portable pod go a time or two!

Great vid I bought my helix bc of you guys A con is if there is a computer glitch you can do nothing with it. I updated the firmware and it deleted my patches. After a bit of work I was able to reinstall them but with regular pedals I don’t see this happening

Interesting. Have never had that happen. We utilize the Helix and it’s editor more in a week than most people do in their span of using the product and have never really experienced glitches unless we were on bats or updated our OS too early.

The FM9 can easily do volume and wah with the same expression pedal using channels and scenes.

Quick question please and forgive my ignorance! Is it possible to transfer entire presets from the Helix Floor to the Helix LT? For context, I have the Floor and our church is looking to get the LT for another guitarist and we’d like to just send him the presets I have built out on my Floor. Thanks!

Quick answer here Yes you can Helix family has the same ecosystem that can transfer patch each other (Floor, LT, Stomp, XL, Native)

Hey guys, I just ordered my Helix floor from Guitar Center. I wanted the Sweetwater Worshipping package BUT, Sweetwater is out of Helixes and with Guitar Center I get a 10% Military discount. And we feel a particular player would favor one platform over another based on what they're looking for and what they value. They all fill a niche in the market.

I use Variax exclusively for playing on Sundays and LOVE IT! It might not be for everyone, but it’s perfect for me. But I see how the title of the video is a little confusing in that regard.
