Catfishing Arizona’s urban ponds can be tricky, but with a small amount of knowledge you will have it down in no time. There are so many locations to choose from that all get filled up with fish.
Arizona has a stocking schedule for the urban ponds here in the valley, they are filled up on 2 different seasons throughout the year! This leaves plenty of channel catfish for people to catch.
Catfishing can get very complicated so it’s best we keep it simple. Sometimes people do the most for some stocked fish, when you don’t need much for these guys.

Just fished the Riparian and a guy had his rod pulled into the water while it was leaning on the middle wall!!! He literally jumped in the water and was able to find his pole... the fish was still on!! He landed it and it was about a 5 lb cat!! Amazing...

Them ponds are nice to fish, fished them 2 weeks ago when i was in the valley. I got lucky with 2 but just done some catch and release, literally almost took my pole in the pond 👍

Great video as always. I like to use 5 ft 6 inch medium power rods to catch these AZ ponds because most of them are 1lb to 4lbs but sometimes you can catch a 10 pounder or two 😃😃

Some easy fishing in Arizona. Love your videos bro. In ponds similar to that here in Louisiana people charge you. There called pay lakes. We use range cubes (cattle feed) for chum. Beautiful fishing spots there.nice and clean. There would be people shoulder to shoulder here in a pond like that open to the public
