I do quite a lot of timelapse, haven't had time to do more than a few hyperlapses. One tip I got to avoid flicker is to not touch the clarity, dehaze, shadows and highlight sliders since they will effect each image slightly different. Those adjustments can be done to the final video. Try working with exposure, colour balance etc.

Yes! The less changes in the edits, the smoother they look. Finding out the hard way as usual is how I learned lol

This is the 3rd from your channel I’ve watched this morning B2B. I have mini 4 pro (did have Mavic 3 but at my age carrying too much kit was becoming too heavy ~ long walks in Scottish Highlands) now with so far one walks worth of footage. I really enjoy / like your videos. Time lapse on the drone I’ve not yet done so this IS OF GREAT interest to me. thank you

I'm curious what took you to Kodiak island? We have been to Homer, Sitka, and up to Fairbanks, but not to Kodiak or the Aleutians.

Great one. I like a hyperlapse, but need to practice more. Thanks for sharing your knowledge and experience 👍

Is it a youtube error or why are your hyperlapses so jerky? Or was it just moving to quickly and not taking enough frames?

I probably should make a tutorial as well since I shoot a lot of hyper lapses. I edit everything on an iPad Pro so my workflow is different. I wish they made Lr Timelapse for the iPad but as of now it’s only for desktops and I use the built in stabilization in the editor on my iPad Pro to stabilize the footage which does an okay job but it’s not silky smooth like I want it. Last year I made a movie where the entire video was various hyper lapses. I shot during the day and at night. How did you compensate for the changing light in your last video where the sun was setting? We’re you changing your settings on the fly during the hyper lapse or did you make adjustments in post production? I want to try a day to night hyperlapse or vice versa but I don’t know how to make that happen since the light is changing rapidly.

I bet hyperlapse tutorial on iPad would be a great video idea!

That is were LRTimelapse helps. You edit the first (daytime pic) and the last (night time pic) and LRTimelapse does some magic and adjusts all the pictures in between to ramp them slowly. Also, you can shoot a daytime lapse and another the same at night, then in your editing software align them overlapped and key frame opacity to fade the dayime clip into the night time clip. 2 different types of shooting and editing for day to night. You may well have worked all this out by now.

@@ThePoonFish I havent tried that out yet but definitely going to try that sometime soon. Thanks for the reminder!!
