Worship leading is worshipping God in spirit and truth. Let us planned ahead and let the Holy spirit guide and lead us for the worship meets. Never be too quick to judge your worship team members but show them love and concerns what is the issues for not showing interests or being not punctual in meetings. Conflicts in the team are unavoidable when we cannot agreed on certain issues but better to talk it out within the team members to see how we can resolved it. Thanks for sharing a hard topic but let us surrender and let God handle the issues according to His wills and plans he had for all of us. You can set rules and regulations for the team members but let the love of God be the reason why we want to serve for His purposes and giving glory back to Him.

Appreciate your addressing this topic!! Definitely appropriate. We are people and people, though redeemed, fall short so it is important to have expectations set out. On another note, do you have any tips for adding percussion to a single acoustic & voice worship set ? I recently saw a leader sing, play acoustic and use a pedal for a kick drum by his foot…

While I agree with everything you said....what about when the issue is the leader?

Talk to the leader directly, clearly, and respectfully. Resolve with the leader before you try to go over their head. If all else’s fails, you leave the team. That sends a message. I know the heart is to lead the church and it can feel like the right thing to do is to suffer, but worship will go on and change may be necessarily for growth.

Real question: How do we get from here to there when accepting the role of worship leader at a new church where these things are not in place. They're already on the worship team not applying to be on it. Thanks!
