I would go with an iPad Pro 2018 and up with USB-C connection

I have been using djay with Bluetooth speakers over the years with zero latency right from Bluetooth 4.x to the current Bluetooth 5.x. Some of the speakers I have used include Sony xb30, tribit maxsound plus, JBL partybox 110, various home theatre systems with sound bar. It is so good that I almost exclusively use it with Bluetooth speakers or regular wired headphones for personal listening.

Hey Justin! I am looking for an iPad compatible controller that has MIDI out as well as stereo in so I can use hardware instruments in conjunction with the mixing software. The only ones I have found are the Rolands. Would you advise going that route or instead get something like an Arturia Minifuse 4 for the audio/midi and then use something like an FLX6 for the controller?

I got the Numark DJ2GO2 Touch after seeing one of your video, fun little device BUT, it generates awful static like noise from its main output and headphones out. I found that there's a LOT of people who have this problem and Numark didn't addressed it nor they released a new firmware for it. I'm very disappointed. So, the only solution is to use a sound card which is a PITA in a context of light "BBQ" gigs like you say.
