I was really excited about this. It was not what I ideally hoped for though. After deep diving I found: PROS Glamorous interface. Easy to use. Nice sounds. If you just need to quickly generate a base idea, this can do that. CONS Its canned, i.e. its basically a pretty interface into a finite set of notes\patterns. To say another way, its not algorithmic nor using AI. Interface would have been easier if they simply listed the handful of patterns for each chord, bass, arp. As opposed to say Orb Producer which generates new unique notes based on your parameters. The "parameters" in Pilot basically filter it to select a canned, not spontaneously generated note set. If you create a small number of tunes Pilot is cool. If however you start to create more than 10 tunes, the static patterns and lack of diversity will become apparent. I never write critical reviews. This is a first. I thought people should know what they are getting (and not getting). SUGGESTION If they add AI or make it truly generate new and unique notes and patterns that would be great.

I have really been enjoying it personally. I know a lot of reviewers will only say positive things about something that isn't great, but I really believe in this company and this particular vst line they're putting out. If nothing else, all the sounds are actually usable and I find myself going back to them, even if I'm not using the midi generation

@@SimulationBeats I totally get that for the sounds, or for inspiration. I do own the Kilohearts stuff already - and I can see how this is a useful regenerate-melody thing for trap. I just don't know for music you already hear in your head a certain way - in the videos I've seen, except yours, it doesn't do a very good job of following chords but if I had a demo I could test it better.

Same here. I think this is the only plugin where I ever made use of the money-back-guarantee. I already had Captain Plugins and had high expectations but in the end, if you already have Captain Plugins, there's no need to get Pilot Plugins. I get much better results with Captain Plugins and have more control over the results. The only thing I like about Pilot Plugins is the fact that the plugin windows are so narrow that you can easily stack them onto the screen together.

Just a trash midi generator again.Orb Plugins does same and better,Feel Your sound House or Chillout engine plugins does same,Captain Epic plugins is same,Midi Wizard is same.. Buy a Scaler 2.9 and have and more all of these trash midi generators..A Scaler 2.9 and Ezbass,Ezkeys plugins,you can do what you imagine in your head.
