*I have watched a ton of vids on Captain plugins and everyone immediately says 'oh that's not quite what we need' and then they mess around tweaking for quite a while* ..even Captain's 'own video' he was not happy and had to aimlessly search before tweaking. this is great for people with almost zero music theory, but just OK for people who know stuff. good video though *P.S. this is a good tool for learning more about theory while actually making stuff along the way!*

I bought Captain Plug in Epic last year around Christmas because it was on sale, and the whole bundle was $50. And I believe it usually is twice that any other time. And I got to say it is worth $50 but I would've asked for a refund if it cost me $100. I say that because first off it is way glitchy mostly minor things but they are many and it is annoying. And really if it wasn't for nice folks like this fella who has taken the time to teach us how to make use of it. I probably would've returned it for not having any good tutorials. I do however find the capn beats plug in to be the best of the lot.

I absolutely agree that human creativity is paramount and better than anything that AI can do at this point. However I see no problem with getting inspiration from other sources and making it your own, as shown in this video. If you actually watched the video, you would see that I never used any of the patterns the plugins gave me. I used maybe 3 notes to get inspiration off of and made my own melodies from there. And I would never tell anyone to NEVER do something, despite my own preference.
