This is such a good run-down on LS Life. I make mods for a few different games and use mods in games wherever possible, but GTAV has given me the biggest headache since creating a custom modlist for S.t.a.l.k.e.r. Anomaly. With how popular this game still is due to the modding scene, having someone give such a laid back and well executed explanation to GTAV's mods and their installation process is key to keeping the scene alive. the lslife.ini file (configuration file) in your scripts folder, theres a option to turn markers on or off - you can open it up with notepad and edit it

but its so easy to install...scripthookv and dot net go in main gta folder. EVERYTHING else goes into scripts folder (ls life, native ui, ifruitaddon2) and yes it does work

When OpenIV creates a mod folder it duplicated ALL of the original files so yeah lol at least a couple gigs I imagine and every dlc you add also increases file size

OpenIV is the ONLY modding tool to install mods it’s totally safe! You’d have to use a virus tool to check for virus

no. you have to install it. this is only a script. you load it in Story mode and it should work. So you can use LSPDFR with RPG and Ls life in normal story mode

have it installed and working, but when I choose to deal the ped walks up and it tells me to push L key to sell but that key stops the dealing. I changed the stop dealing key to a different letter but it still cancels the deal any ideas?

nah nah naaaaah, it says to deal hit the L Shift key, meaning LEFT Shift key on your keyboard. L cancels dealing

I mean you should typically back up your files that you overwrite with with mods before installing them - but if you ever need to get original files you can always get them from the same files that the mods folder copied from. So alll modded files that go in the /mods/update/update.rpf Are originally from Update/update.rpf ifbthat makes sense
