Avid Striker fan since 2018. No other deck integrates story and gameplay so well imo. With just a little imagination you really feel like you're watching Raye systematically dismantle a field full of enemy boss monsters all by herself using her gadgets and suits, which is just insanely cool.

Amazing guide as always! This channel has been huge in helping me to learn Sky Striker and always appreciate it when new cards come out that you always show anything that might be relevant in how one might play the deck. Not many people are fortunate to have a dedicated channel for learning how to play their favorite archetype, so I feel that's one of the things that makes this one special!

Good stuff. Been playing Striker since 2018 too. I bought the whole deck on a credit card when it came out because I just had a feeling I'd like it. Boy was I right. What an investment. I've topped regionals, locals and done very well with the deck consistently for 5 years. I'm so stuck in 'Striker mode' when I play YGO, that whenever I attempt to play another deck, my mind tells me I can't activate cards when the MMZ is occupied. I have to remind myself it's not Striker lmao. Sky Striker IS Yugioh to me. If the deck ever gets banned to a point where it's unplayable, I probably won't play this game anymore. Long live Raye.

Pot of desires gets a bit dicey when you keep in mind that you only run one H.A.M.P. You don't always need him and I would rather not run more than one because of desires. With Linkage the amount of starters you have in your deck reaches an acceptable level and by doing the math you should almost always have a starter in hand now.

I took out desires cause I kept banishing all my engages and linkages(in situations where it's "draw something off desires or die") and then I put in back in because of this video just to IMMEDIETELY banish every linkage and my second engage. Like i'm still gunna play it cause of how math works but boy does the math seem to not favor me.

Striker is very versatile but I find it a much more enjoyable experience to make plays rather than sitting on floodgates. But idk I play Striker a lot more aggressive than you should and base a lot of my lines of play off instinct/feeling compared to other people I've seen.

Why do people run Gameciel when HAMP exists? (I watch a lot of SkyStriker deck profiles) is it just the attack difference? I understand playing a Kaiju if you can't get / don't want to play Nib but HAMP seems like it may be a better use of the space than Gameciel. I am a noob though so, I am sure someone will know better than I

Gameceil doesn’t have a requirement and can be tributed instantly while HAMP requires a Sky Striker Ace on board. It’s a pro vs cons thing. Personally I feel HAMP the cons is okie because it’s searchable while kaiju you just have to be skilled enough to draw it.

Thanks! Tbh not worth it because as much as I love Striker it’s a locals tier deck and occasionally surprise regional top at most. I don’t think dropping $180 only for Striker ain’t worth it. I managed to get lucky and pull one but don’t feel like paying up for the set. If you’ll use it in other decks then sure. Please check my channel for an update list! Most of the time now Accesscode can be summoned through Dharc + opponent's Dark monster making Selene, and then hoping you have Veiler in GY or hand. Doesn't happen too often now but it's a way.

I’m not a big fan of floodgates in general but if you’re gonna play summon limit probably 3. Personally I feel it’s more consistent overall to play board breakers since lower power floodgates like summon limit are only really good prior to big established boards.

No, only the two zones in the middle are considered “extra monster zones.” It’s why you can’t Raye special summon from GY if there is a monster in the extra monster zone.

33:55 Can I know why Roze negates Raye? Wouldn't it be similar to Raye dodging imperm since she'll chain to the Roze as CL2 and will be out of the board by then? Or is this because the Raye tributing happens on a separate chain, which by then, Roze already negated her from the previous chain (when she used her effect to ss to field)?

Roze's effect has an "If, then" effect, which means that it happens "simultaneously/immediately" if the first part successfully resolves or condition is met (while this card is in your GY:). In other words, if Roze is successfully summoned from the GY (as part of her effect), she can negate a face-up monster upon summon without creating a new chain link. So if your opponent is very "smart," and tributes Raye using Raye's quick effect, it would create a new, separate chain, which would lead to your opponent losing it because the tribute is cost and the effect cannot resolve normally because Raye is negated. Hope it helps!

I don’t think it’s necessary since modern yugioh and in this format at the moment you have Multirole and 3x red Raye to deal with stuff. If you’re efficient avarice not necessary

It’s so I can reset Shark Cannon again with multirole’s effect. Ash is banished because it doesn’t matter compared to the other monsters in my opponent’s GY. Then I can summon the Dragostapedia or Thunder Dragon during my opponent’s turn if I needed to.
