well ice beats dragon in pokemon so thats easy to remember. dark is basically like ghost and in pokemon normal attacks do nothing to ghosts, so you can remember dark beats neutral that way. dragon beats dark because its the last type match up left to remember. I think the one that'll get me most is grass not being super effective against water.@@AceAngelTTV

Curious why you're confused about it? Gamefreak doesn't own the rights to colorful animals with powers. Any game developer can try their hand at this and probably succeed. Look at the success of Temtem.

If anything what this will cause is force Pokemon company to make a game identical to this but with (hopefully) improvements. Would be rather embarrassing if they attempt this and make it worse. Pokemon is so huge and massively successful that once they make their version - most of everyone would jump to that in a heartbeat.

When you run a game on powerful hardware like Playstation/Xbox/PC versions, they tend to perform and run better because of the specs needed to accurately, perform, and execute very well with tons of options to adjust/tweak the settings here and there. Whereas Nintendo consoles though (Since the N64 days), as a dev you don't really have a ton of room to insert more stuff into the console's hardware/specs than what's already there. But that's just how Nintendo runs based on Gunpei Yokoi's vision has with Nintendo simplying focusing on software rather than the latest hardware or specs to make it look beautiful, rather to make it cost-effective and perform good/great at best with the limited hardware made in gaming handhelds/consoles.

Of note, you can also get a very early game gliding pal in the form of Celaray, who spawns just to the west of the starting area, on the other side of the cove!! The main reason I'm a fan of this one is that you can get it's gear at level 7, and it has a faster gliding speed than other pals (and most other gliders!) Very, very helpful mobility option!!

Imagine the speed of a Swift Celaray... I'm trying to find a Swift Elk, cuz even without speed buff passive, Elk is the fastest early to mid game Pal ( I have not reach late game yet) with Double Jump that eliminate fall damage. My fly pal is Nitwing which kinda slow, is there a faster fly mount?

There is some building pieces that do not require a palbox. workbench and repair tables for example and the campfires. I think it's possible to build wooden chest without needing a palbox too. why this is important is because when you are out and about in the world, your tool tends to get damaged or you might need to craft extra stuff like arrows or spheres. you may die a lot which means that it would help if you have a crafting station nearby. another tip is to find those purple cats you find at the beginning and recruit two or three of them into your party. because when you have them in your party you gain 50 weight capacity. spend all your skill points into weight capacity and stamina early on, you should aim for at least 600 or 700 base weight capacity. ores weigh a lot. 40 ores = 320 wt = 20 ingot.

Believe it or not, a lot of my crafting is just me building it myself. The pal is just an extra or to make it faster to build such craft. I can't tell you I would spend hours tending to my base more often than I do exploring/battling 95% of the time in Palworld.

It took me awhile to find a village. There was wondering merchant the first hour or so, but he disappeared. Out of the starting area, go down the hill, hang a left prior to the tower. You are going to the area that wraps around to the south west of the starting area. It is a little bit of journey. There is a village over there. The game rewards you for capturing 10 of a species. You can sell your extra pals, and buy supplies that are harder to find or grind like bone. I would do this around level 12-14. There is also an Egpytian looking cat that you can get in the cave dungeon near the starting area. He drops coins in the ranch. You can net about 250 coins every time you go out exploring and come back.

@@doctordark3527 I see what you are saying, and how you got there. I desired the better glider. That requires bones. Bones are not dropped by pals near where you start. I can buy bones. Would you like the Electric Horse Pal? You can buy him. You just have to check back every so often.

@@adamramsey5787 lol I just flew around to explore the map. Took a while. Electric horse can be caught like lvl 14….. bones are dropped by flying pals. Most tedious thing was crafting my legendary pistol schematic I randomly found. Took like 2 hours to craft and I just cleaned my house. Thing is sick tho.

Vixiy is the best early game pal imo. Put several in a ranch and it digs all day finding speheres, arrows and coins. All crucial throughout level 1-20

Oh yeah, and combine that with 7 Days To Die, ARK Survival Expanded, Minecraft, The Forest/Sons of the Forest, Pokemon: Legends Arceus, and Dead Island 1/2, it's something that can cater to many different audiences. Whether you're a battler/dungeon crawler or a person who prefers building/crafting in the game, the tutorial is just an extra for the achievements, but you can play the game without those and play-it-as-you-like type of game. I absolutely love the sandbox slider choices they have when you make a new game though. Only different is you don't generate your own Palworld though (from what 7 Days To Die allows you to generate your own world, and then you can share that prefab with other people/gamers to try it out and play it to their hearts content).

@@norske_ow3440 That's what I'm saying is do like Random Generated Maps like what 7 Days to Die has, and you have sliders to customize and create what you want in that particular world. Or, much like Roller Coaster Tycoon 2 where you can customize the entire map of how you want it to look, create scenery, buildings, dungeons, etc. And then share them with others or even play it yourself. And ALSO, When Mods come around, give us some sort of Creative Mode in the game where we can summon Anything we like, including Pals that we would like to insert into our own single player game. Now that would be fun to do.

The AI pathing currently is abysmal and I mean it. They can get stuck on something before getting into base and they’ll just freeze. This is still alpha release guys so remember that. Many of the other “bones” to this game mechanics are fantastic though.

I've been having some issues where my pals won't eat even if there's food in the food thing and I also try to assign them to do specific work and they will say there is no work to be done at this time then walk away. Oh also I have beds for all of them but they still sleep in random spots. Any idea how to fix these issues? Not sure if they are bugs or I'm doing something wrong.

have you ever played Chimeraland? I was in the beta for it and played a little over a year before it launched about 16-18 months ago. there is very little difference between that game and Palworld (most notable being that Pals can help out around your base, and the difference in graphics from a game made 4-6 years ago) I would have liked to have seen Chimeraland evolve into a more polished game like Palworld "feels" as I think overall it is a better game, but has Eastern pay to win/get ahead mechanics built in :( A combination of these two games could possibly make the next big 10+ year long popular title (or if Palworld keeps improving it might do that on its own)

Hey Alex, not sure if you are even going to see this comment, and a bit late, but got any tips for base building running the No Captured Pals challenge? Working from Beginning Plateau, and while I can make a decent house... the rest kinda just gets jumbled around as I unlock things... So I was curious if you have anything like an efficient starter base build or something like that... without just explaining the location, saying "ah lets build here for X" and jumping to a massive base fully built and saying something like "Ah a simple base, nothing easier right?"... some people, like me, need a bit more explained when just starting out...

Let your imagination take it away for you. Build anywhere but keep in mind nearby resources like iron deposits can be important. One thing a little wonky with this game currently is that resources spawn again a day later so basically infinite resources where they lay.

Question: in the time that you played, what was the longest timer you had seen for any job/task to be completed? I saw the egg had 8 minutes and that one structure had like 1 minute. Is there stuff in this game that ill have to wait 1 to 2 days to complete? Been extremely excited for this game but it's always a huge bummer to see timers like that in games considering I only get maybe 2 or 3 hours a week nowadays to play a game. Not sure why developers still even do this

You can set up hatching speed on the world you create.

You can change several options of your world/session any time you want at main menu. Hatching speed being one of the options. Set it to zero, unless you're like some kind of hardcore masochist that want to wait several hours for an egg.

The similarities to ARK: Survival is insane like almost 1:1 in some place the crafting menu is the ARK engram menu UI and the taming and egg incubating. its hilarious but im here for it until nintendo sues them haha

If the estimates are right and PocketPair studio is getting $16 a copy, then they just made $80 Million over the weekend. That's just insane for an indie studio.
