The behind the scenes team did you dirty with the close up of that grenadine pour at 2:01 🤣

Yhup hahaha - I’d actually been back to the gym that week for the first time in a while, very shaky!

I do the 1964 Aku Aku bar Zombie recipe. The ratios are more straightforward and a bunch of the fiddlier ingredients are combined into "Don's Zombie Mix": 3/4 oz fresh lime juice 3/4 oz white grapefruit juice 3/4 oz cinnamon syrup 3/4 oz dark jamaican rum 3/4 oz gold puerto rican rum 3/4 oz 151-proof demerara rum 1/2 tsp Zombie Mix 1 dash Angostura bitters Zombie Mix: 1 part each Pernod (or absinthe), orange curaçao, falernum, and grenadine. There's enough alcohol in the mix that it shouldn't spoil.

Great hack!

One of my all-time favorites! But yes, if you make if full strength it's quite dangerous.

Wow! That’s a LOT of Rum. 😮

For sure! You can definitely half all of the measurements for more of a standard (but still pretty boozy!) serve.

I went to a tiki bar with a friend. I had many drinks and I remember ordering a zombie. I remember ordering an Uber and I remember going to a restaurant with my friend. That’s pretty much all I remember about that night.

Yeah pretty lethal!

It’s like a daiquiri died and came back to life as a stronger, undead version of itself.

Is there really that much difference in the three types of rum? Would it be that different if all the same rum was used?
@jmcosmosАй бұрын
There is. Heavier Jamaican rum is far more complex than a "white" Cuban or Puerto Rican rum.
@CacheCanadaАй бұрын
@jmcosmos what about just using Bacardi Golf for instance?
@SigandGibbsАй бұрын
@@CacheCanadadefinitely not. Barcardi is Puerto Rican rum which is the one with the least flavor. If you're gonna do just one rum it should be the Jamaican or a Demerara (Guyanese).
@jmcosmosАй бұрын
@@CacheCanada What @SigandGibbs said. I recommend Smith and Cross Jamaican pot-still rum for the dark. It beats Myers all hollow.

You’d definitely want a fuller flavoured rum if just using one, all 3 layer different flavours - almost like using a blended Scotch and peated single malt in a Penicillin, or both a Scotch and Irish whisky in a Cameron’s Kick: technically the same spirit category but bring different flavour profiles 😊
