The boxing ring is square because it makes it easier to consistently setup the venue with straight equal lines for the ropes on all 4 sides. Also they probably thought it would be unique to make their ring shaped like a square.
@bafman3 жыл бұрын
It was actually called a Boxing No-ring in the beginning because hitting people in their "ring" was a definite no-no. Some people thought it was bad form to bring attention to this region of anatomy so the "no" was dropped and Boxing Ring became the official name. :) :) :)

People used to gather in a circle holding rope to watch a fight and to alleviate the fans holding rope they made a squared ring with two ropes, otherwise known as a "squared circle".

Boxing rings are square because each fighter has a corner to go to and makes it easier for the referee to watch so no sneaky stuff by the other fighter. It also keeps the second's or doctor a place to be.

Why is the thin recommended for the iPhone 12 Pro? Wouldn't the standard be better cause it can charge thru thicker surface?
@BevelishCreations3 жыл бұрын
Hey actually the Magsafe feature and the large camera module on the iPhone 12 Pro Max reduces the distance which a charger can work. Once you add a case on it, it reduces that distance even more. So you want the actual surface to be thinner
@OfficialRay33 жыл бұрын
@@BevelishCreations so then wouldn't the standard be the charger to use? Since it charges at a great distance?
@BevelishCreations3 жыл бұрын
The desk top would need to be thinner for it to work. It’ll be at the lower end of the thickness limit of the regular charger. While it’s right in the middle of the thickness range of the thinner charger

In its early stages it was an actual ring since people naturally form a ring around fights. When they wanted to add ropes around the ring, stringing a rope around a circle would be too hard and impractical to do for thousands of boxing rings. So they made it into a square which is easier to string

thanks for the video. I wonder if you can share more on the explanation on the thin charger and the iphone 12 pro max and magsafe? I would have assumed the standard version would have done the same as the thin, but just go through more material. I have a desk that is 1" thick and so i would have assumed i needed the standard....thanks!
@BevelishCreations3 жыл бұрын
It took me a few minutes to understand this as well. But the standard version has a thickness limit between 18mm to 25mm. Because the iPhone 12 Pro Max essentially adds about 5mm on top of the table thickness, the table needs to be 20mm or less. So for the standard charger, the table thickness needs to be 18mm to 20mm. That’s a pretty small range. The thin version is 10-17mm. So for someone who can cut a hole in their desk, you’ll get more range to work with. The manufacturer also said that through their tests the thin version worked much better for the Pro Max in terms of consistency. If you reach out to their or look on their site you might get more information on this. But this is just how I understood it

@smithe533 жыл бұрын
Maybe because it adds an extra element to the "game" by making the boxers think even harder about not getting trapped in the corner... Or just making it more interesting for the fans when they do get trapped.
