Noticed you playing this guitar in your Last Dance With Mary Jane lesson. I bought my PRS Hollowbody Standard Piezo (very similar, but all mahogany instead of a spruce top) in February of this year and absolutely love it! It made me happy to see you with one, too. I hope you're still enjoying it. I mostly go back and forth between my HB and my Martin SC-13e.

I learned on an acoustic and just recently bought a hollow body Epiphone Casino electric. I paired it with a 40 watt modeling practice amp, and the neighbors get to hear my improvement...great video Lauren!

Beautiful guitar and I'll bet it sounds awesome! Being from Maryland, I'd seen interviews with Paul Reed Smith. What always struck me was his humbleness, passion for guitar and great sound... PRS made a great guitar channel and teacher even better... Congratulations Lauren!! 🎸

I got that guitar a few weeks ago and I am loving it. With the piezo I can get that woody electric archtop sound without the size and weight. A very versatile guitar. And very pretty too.

Hi Lauren, love this guitar. Could you do a quick clip on how it sounds being Travis and or finger picked? That would be really useful if you could as having seen this video I'm seriously thinking about getting one. Thanks for everything Lauren 😊❤️

I bought my PRS Hollowbody II with Piezo for the exact reasons you mentioned in the video. I had an acoustic guitar for years, but it was impossible for me to play. The neck was way too big for my hands. I gave it away to a friend to give to his son for Christmas. I love my PRS. Hope you make a lot of videos with this new guitar so o can learn the songs you play.

Hi Lauren, Greetings from Australia. I had been thinking about getting this guitar for some time and your video convinced me to go ahead and purchase one. I hope that you will produce some song lessons featuring this guitar. I really enjoy your style of teaching and I am currently working my way through your 7 Level Guitar System using my Squire Strat. Cheers Michael

Thanks for sharing this. Gorgeous guitar & amazing sound. I appreciate you going over the options/settings. I am a beginner & started with an acoustic. Love the sound. But a Daisy Rock Rock Candy Skull and Rose guitar popped up on FB MP. I couldn't resist picking it up. Love it dearly. I have smaller hands & struggle with some things on the bigger acoustic. So it's great w/the slimmer neck/body & lighter strings. Having both options is terrific.

I have a few resonators with a p-90 and piezo . The blend knob tone and volume plus the resonator gives a very interesting array of sounds. It can also be played without an amp, just pure resonator. All this technology is crazy fun.

There is (or was, at least) a hollow body SE “Standard,” with has the piezo and the two outputs, but costs about $100 less. I think the main difference is the quality of the finishes. I’ve had mine about a year and love it

Congratulations on your new guitar. I visited my 20 year friend who is now manager at Guitar Center and he showed me the Fender Acoustasonic Player Telecaster. I am considering, but if I buy one I will get the one made in Mexico, since it uses a regular 9 volt battery and the USA made one uses a rechargeable battery. Your PRS SE Hollowbody II Piezo is much prettier than the Fender Acoustasonic. What gauge strings are on the PRS? What is the nut width? Does the PRS use a rechargeable battery or a regular 9 volt battery?
@LaurenBatemanАй бұрын
It has a regular 9V. Not sure on the nut width. I requested 9s.

Love to see your enthousiasm, but the switch is that still the classic choise between elektric pickups? By the way; piëzo elements in guitars were applied by Ovulation-guitars, ohw sorry, Ovation Guitars in the late 1960-70's, so not that new all together, but the combination was further developed in the 1980s according to chatgpt (ask me no questions, I'll tell you no lies)

Yes the switch still controls the pickup.
