You need a bigger audience. This is the coolest build out I’ve ever ever ever seen. I’m about to start living in my Jeep, and I’m super jelly with what I see over here with you.

I’ve watched 100’s of these set up videos. This was the most entertaining and informative of them all. 😀

Hey Ben, are you still living out of your Jeep? I have the same car and have been living out of mine for the past 3 months. Just discovered your video today. Would love to connect if you’re still on the road!

@@ntuquach unfortunately I sold her in 2023, just isn’t a reliable brand of vehicle for long term use. I’ve actually been converting a larger cargo van. Will be shooting a tour soon…..

@@bnjnmhsh ooh that sounds exciting! Can’t wait to see the tour
Hope the road and those you meet on it are kind 👍 🇨🇦 😊

Hi Ben. I really appreciate this video and the good vibes. Your filming abilities and video quality are amazing. I also own a Jeep Patriot. Throughout my travels I've spent months sleeping in it and wow have you given me some ideas for it. Currently ive been building my own lightweight little camp trailer custom made ti tow behind my little Jeep. Anyway you should keep posting videos, your positive energy is something the world needs more of.

I'm blown away by this build I have the same car and was thinking about doing a build on it for week to two week trips I had a couple of questions about the cost of the building out the frame interior just such as amount of time you spent building and cost of material. awesome build dude!!
@bnjnmhsh Жыл бұрын
Thank you brother! I appreciate the kind words. Yea it’ll be worthwhile to try converting it, it didn’t cost much material wise for my setup, though the economy was different back in 2020. I don’t think I paid more than $500-$600 for materials, as for tools and equipment, I had that covered. What cost me the most was obviously all the tech and gadgets and accessories for the car. I will warn you my setup was quite tight and snug for sleeping, so if you’re only trying to do shorter trips, you don’t have to have the huge shelves and closet I had, just have bigger sleeping arrangement. In terms of time and effort, I believe it took me around 3 months to complete whilst working 7-12 hour days/ maybe 5 days a week, with no experience at all with any of it, just a knack for building and design. Feel free to ask me anything else, I’m wishing you the best!🙏🤙🫡

I am very impressed with how much planning and work you put into the build! Maybe it is just me but.. I would be interested in a video about how it was to actually live in Pearl for an extended time. Two thumbs up! And good luck on further journeys!

Yu made this very creative, neat && organized.... I love the creativity, really awesome... Wondering when you started the build... Did you take the BACK-SEATS OUT... TO MAKE THIS HAPPEN?? CAN A HEATER PLUG INTO THE JACKERY FOR WARMTH?? SINCE NOT INSULATED 4 THE COLD.
@bnjnmhsh10 ай бұрын
I started building summer of 2020, 3 months to complete. Yes, you have to take the seats out, there’s no other way. You have to gut the interior, minus the headliner. Ehh, if you are opting to plug a heat system, you’re probably going to have to find a 12v system, otherwise you’ll drain the hell out of the jackery. Heaters drain way toooo much power. In larger setups, people typically opt for diesel heaters, wood stoves, propane heaters, or hook up a proper heater to a larger battery/solar system, etc. I never had a heating system, just suck it up and brave the cold days with a good sleep system/down options. Hope that gives you more insight.

Great use of space. Love the build. I have a Liberty and have been wandering if I could convert it. Your build has inspired me. Thanks for sharing! Quick question: Where do you keep your bed during the day?

Absolutely love this build! I have a 2015 Jeep Patriot Sport FWD and would love to do something like this. If you ever come to TX let me know. In other words what's a girl got to do to get you to come to tx and help me do this to Girty? My sister lives in the country lots of space to camp in Pearl..I thought my organization skills in my little 4x8 teardrop was crazy. But you take organization to a whole other level. I don't need to sleep in Girty ( my riots name) but I'm looking to get more out of her.

Looks like most of the build weight is on the drivers side-does it effect turns especially up or down hills? Your extremely talented & seem to have all the bases covered 👍
@bnjnmhsh Жыл бұрын
It might seem that way, but it was actually quite balanced overall, especially if you take into consideration the spare tire on the roof, I tried my best to balance it. Funny enough, it was my rear right tire that seemed to have the worst wear when it was all said and done, still haven’t figured out why that was the case. Thank you!🤷♂️🙏✌️

Hey Ben! Great video. I have a 2015 jeep patriot and want to do the same thing. I noticed the fuel pump is right under the back seat behind the driver. Is it dangerous putting a platform over that? I’d like to start my own build but want to proceed with caution too. Thank you!!! You have me great ideas!!!
@JamoArchie7 ай бұрын
How did you measure the wood for the extended piece? It’s such an awkward shape but have a jeep Patriot and want to do a similar set up!
@bnjnmhsh7 ай бұрын
Hey Caitlin! I assume you mean the sliding pieces for the table and bed? It’s basically the same measurement as the main bed/floor section, i essentially used cardboard to template the odd section near the center console, then transferred to the plywood. But you don’t even need to do that, just measure roughly with a tape measure the dimensions of the center console then just cut out the measurements on the ply, it’s all simple techniques. Hopefully that helps? Let me know if you have further questions, Or need clarification! Much love!
